The lurkers, like me, probably don't have repraps... yet. Also, I'm remembering a CNC milling machine being used to create a circuit board by the application of a layer of metal (and cover) and the subsequent milling of said layer before the application of another layer.by kodify - North Carolina RepRap User Group

Good luck on figuring out how to monetise reprap well enough to interest a venture capitalist. Hmm... You do realize it's perfectly doable. The only problem is that only one person will be able to pull it off successfully... the first one to think of how to do it and have the charisma to make it happen. If only all the charismatic guys I know didn't want to split it 70/30...by kodify - General

Random thought... a half-size reprap with all parts precision machined, appropriate reductions, etc... would print half-size models. It wouldn't even necessarily know that the models being printed were half-size. What if everyone is printing differently sized parts? Just a thought. Make sure that the main reprap is the cheapest... or don't worry about it for now. With experimentation comes feedback... for instance, someone printed an extender for their reprap that... the z-extender... this resulted in bow-ing which resulted in better low-prints... in short... it was an accidental improvement. The most important part is not to get everyone working with the same reprap, butby kodify - Developers
