QuoteThinkyhead Meanwhile, can someone remind me whether RepRapFirmware or Smoothieware support Dual X Carriages, switching extruders, mixing extruders, BL-Touch probe, and so on…? In other words, are they being kept up to date with the ever-evolving RepRap world? Hi Thinkyhead, Smoothieware doesn't support Dual-X (IDEX) yet. Hey Dust, You're right! Additional four LEDs are able to help out in case of trouble... but its location order would be left to right, LED3-LED4-LED2-LED1 at RAMPS SERVOS header. I have uploaded sneak movie on YouTube Re-ARM Smoothie 4 LEDs. Used my stock orange LEDs and 1K ohm resistor in series connected each digital port to GND. Note: config.txt should edited as - leds_disable falseby Genie - Crowdfunding Projects Announcements
Recently I got one of December delivery lot, and testing basic functions for now. It seems run pretty good in the mean time but it's hard to trace in case of trouble because of non-disclosure schematics and non-equipped Smoothie standard 4 LEDs. Hi SamuelB1002, At first, make suspicious problems simpler. I recommend to remove RAMPS and check out if your bare Arduino MEGA itself runs or not. You can do it using with Atmel AVR ISP mk2 (genuine or very cheap clone with 6p wiring cable). Some time, firmware needs reflashing. I'd faced with fried AVR chip that seemed broken by over voltage came from thermistor's long and bad wiring (twistingby Genie - RAMPS Electronics

Hi, it must be a wild adventure. At first, make sure that you can send some 'Hello world!' text at good serial speed (ie. 9600 bps) via WiFi. It can be examined by WiFi send -and- serial loop back test. You need to pass this test at above to proceed, you may require a serial-USB converter and terminal emulator on PC to check WiFi serial in/out lines. Yes, you can use it as an AVR programmer as far as I know. http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/by Genie - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hi powdermetal, Recently, I'd read the previous thread and strongly interested in your design. Then I asked my friends to join for group buying of NEMA 14 pancake stepper to replicate the experiment. Now we share a couple of steppers each among three guys, and another one is going to buy himself. Parts on BOM are already in the hands. Slowly starting, I hope it will go well.by Genie - General
Quotefrankvdh Any thoughts on driving this via cable rather than directly by the stepper motor? HI, as you see this extruder holds the motor shaft perpendicularly against filament path. On the other hand, bowden + remote motor configration holds the flexible drive shaft in parallel against filament path around the extruder. So, it's not suitable for coaxial speed reducer, rather worm + pinion geby Genie - General
Hi misan, I'm eager for release of ESP-WROOM-32 (ESP32) module from Espressif as a worldwide product like as already available sister ESP-WROOM-02 (ESP8266). FYI, ESP-WROOM-32 datasheet was disclosed at the end of last month. Genieby Genie - Controllers

Hi Dam, I have been running an eMAKER Huxley clone with Sanguinololu 1.3a compatible controller at DC12V for years long. Your Sanguinololu board will become naturally warm or partially hot when running at DC19V. You don't need to replace your PSU if it works correctly. Just take a look at your Sanguinololu top surface, and you see three small semiconductor blocks of three pins at both sides - tby Genie - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi SDuck, It's eMAKER Huxley, not an earlier version as there're reinforcement ribs to hold IGUS bearing at x-idler-bracket and x-motor-bracket. The designer jmgiacalone joined RepRap Ltd. after eMAKER Huxley released and the model was called as RepRapPro Huxley with some modifications. The controller board was revised from Sanguinololu to Melzi. Now, eMAKERshop web site once held the assemblyby Genie - Huxley

Hi, I think you'd better go with traxxas at first because there're many trial examples here and there. You'll be able to print parts by yourself sooner, then you can build another bot with M4 joints. You may find good threads about delta bot at the following section. Good luck! Home > Machines Organized by Style > Delta Machines Home > Machines Organized by Name > Fisherby Genie - Mechanics
Hi, Ordinary PCB material used for heated bed is epoxy resin sandwiched by copper layers. If you see fat copper lines outside of white silk line, it should be important power conductive trace for heating up. So, you had better carefully inspect top surface before drilling out. I recommend paper clips to hold a top aluminum sheet and you can easily put it off for cleaning up or change cover tape.by Genie - Mechanics

Hi Dust, It can be easily designed using EAGLE CAD user script named 'spiral-coil.ulp'. The script draws 180 degree arcs that radius gradually increased from the center toward the outside. And, you are able to draw two set of spiral coil pattern after rotating the first one in 180 degree. Imagine a couple of mosquito coils in a box.
