i have a makergear prusa ramps 1.4 i still cannot see this board on my computer. this is the 3rd time ive asked for help on here. im probably going to sell it and buy another gen6 because i have success with that.by glrra19 - General

i think your a little hot when it gets to the small parts at the top of the print. try blowing on it or get a fan. but don't cool it to the point that you lose bed adhesion. maybe try reducing the hotend a few degrees when you get to the end. also your infill looks a little wacky, i use the hexagonal per spacexula. he has a list of skeinforge settings somewhere that really make nice parts. i thby glrra19 - Printing

this i believe also, that the buffer tube tower is the weak point here. im going to skip the range this weekend. im gonna work on it some more. ive built guns before, this is my first plastic part ive worked on. belive me, i have no intention of reviving a bolt carrier directly my shoulder.by glrra19 - General

ok its a little further along. this was far from perfect when i printed it. but then i got out the heatgun and was able to save it depending upon the weather, ill try to get to the range. there is still alot of work to. the file is your freindby glrra19 - General

that would probably be a good idea, i wish i had a 22 upper. i handload, so maybe i should make some reduced power rounds to start off with. i couldnt get the mag to print, im not skeining it right i think.by glrra19 - General

i just use a bigger drill bit, i set the depth on my drill press. then go slow. take away any ridges. its covered with kapton tape anyway. i really like cecil,s setup i may try to emulate on the next one.by glrra19 - General

im gonna find out how long the buffer tube tower and fcg holes will last. this was my first try at printing one. p.s. dont ever try to sell one of these because you can only make this for yourself. (USA)by glrra19 - General

i think an orca is pretty tricky to calibrate alot of time while tighting a bearing it will move slightly in its slotted hole. one of the best things i did to mine was to upgrade the Z axis to linear. now my Y axis is solid. there 28 624 bearngs that can be reduced to 10 linear. of course, it helps to have a working machine to make this stuff. but i think if your Y assembly is square you wounby glrra19 - General

whatever you guys do, don,t file a dispute! believe me, it will make it harder on you in the long run. i tried to cancel after 11 weeks only to have it arrive 10 days later. then i had to jump through hoops to pay for it again. camiel will deliver, it just takes forever. but it figures that his site goes down the same day i break my v9by glrra19 - General

i have selected the other com port but still nothing. when i plug the usb on the prusa in it doesnt make the same "ding" as my orca does. gen6 and ramps are totally different right? so does that mean i need totally different software or something?by glrra19 - General
