i am glad to hear that, but i never did clue in to how much more the steppers i got out of the one printer were over there 1.8 degree counterparts but i will the extra accuracy they give me.by dissidence - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors

i read about that too, i have been wanting to try it has well, i wonder if it would be doable to make a mixing extruder, so that you could get it to cure faster with out having to worry about it too much. something like a spray foam gun.by dissidence - General

thats good to know i was not overly sure about that, so far i got my all my bigger stepper motors out of old vinyl plotter from a sign shop and they are all .9 deg steppers so i am trying to use all the same stepping just to save me trouble on the setup, and i figure its better for accuracy too, to bad there is next to no information out there on them. but hey they seem to work in all my tests soby dissidence - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors

i was looking for some information on stepper motor voltages, i am looking at buying a .9 deg/step motor, but i am running my repstrap at 12v but the only motor i have found is 6v, how hard is it to drive it at 12v that i am feeding my stepper drivers.by dissidence - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors

i am using jumpers 4 2x3 pin headers for it, i need to order more jumpers for it though, i am running a little short. so ya in that regard i could just make a cable to my arduino if i wanted to go that route.by dissidence - Controllers

did you try these guys these guys have a few and there shipping in canada post should be less than 10, i like them. i ordered my soldering iron throgh them and a few other things, but if your order is less than 30 they have a 3 dollar feeby dissidence - Controllers

i am not planning on doing that but it would be a neat feature to have available though, you would have to home each time you changed if you did it that way, i also just found out about the optical encoding stripes on some dell printers that got me thinking again. too bad i cant find them yetby dissidence - Controllers

i was thinking today ( ya i know its a bad habit ) but on my newest stepper board for my pololu stepper drivers . i made it so that i can change all my micro stepping, but is it ok to change them when they are in use.? or should i power them down when i do it.? but wow were the motors allot quieter when i enabled the micro stepping. that i did notice right off the bat. if i had the room on thby dissidence - Controllers

cool thanks, i am hoping that i can get it to work, i want my slave processor to do more than just read the temps, i am trying to get it to control the heaters has well. but i dont have the pins to do a screen on it has is. but i may still try any how. i am just trying the idea out to see how well it works. i may or may not stick with it, i will have to see.by dissidence - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

that one is setup for use with for use with thermocouples unfortunately i think i am going to have to modity it to read thermistors. so i am trying to do it my self, but i do not fully grasp the coding yet,by dissidence - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

i was wondering if any one out there knows of a firmware for the arduino that will allow me 2 100k thermistor inputs, and a serial connection to my mega, i am looking to model it off the hydra-MMM firmware but i am not nearly skilled enough to do it just yet. i am looking to have it not just read my temps but to also have it control my 3 pwm outputs, and also a tri color led for quick referenceby dissidence - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

i was thinking that if it did enough it would help offset the extra work it made. i was also not sure about how much a lcd would use the cpu cycles. so my theory was that if i could just get it to pass on the the taget temps to the slave processor that would just take care of it from there, so that it would turn the heaters on and off, and run the lcdby dissidence - Controllers

i am trying to set my repstrap up to use a slave processor to read the temps, but what i was wondering is if other people out there use them to control there heaters has well. so that it would also control the heated bed and barrel heaters has well. or do most people out there still use there main controller for that. i am also looking at using a lcd to display information too from my slave procby dissidence - Controllers

dose any one remember seeing an article about a guy who used a optical mouse to scan a picture so if you had a very long bar code on the one rail you in theory you could make a fairly accurate optical position system. ok guess it was not has good has i remember, but here is the link but i think it could be a good idea.mouse cameraby dissidence - General

the only issue hardware wise that i can see is the fact that it is 3.3v and all the stuff i have seen so far is for 5v. i have read some people are worried that the 3.3v would pick up allot more noise tooby dissidence - General

i have bought a few things from them, and i will do so again on a few things there a few cents higher, but they have shipped all my orders on the same day they received payment. and i have conversed with the one fellow there over email and he seems to know his stuff very well, i will recommend him any day. he seems to also be driven to have very high quality in the stuff he makes, so kudos for tby dissidence - General
