It does work with usb connected but sending commands from both at the same time does cause problems.by lazzymonk - General
How long are the pins on the ramps? Mine do not go all the way in. If they are long enough it might not actually be a problem.by lazzymonk - RAMPS Electronics
The resistors are different. You need 12 different values for it to work. So no, as it is you could not use resistor networks.by lazzymonk - General
Thats great. Glad you fixed it. But you should try to find the problem.by lazzymonk - Reprappers
Now has a faceplate too. stl files attachedby lazzymonk - General
Had a similar problem in the post. Was a broken wire for the stepperby lazzymonk - General
in pins.h find #if MOTHERBOARD == 33 || MOTHERBOARD == 34 #define X_STEP_PIN 54 #define X_DIR_PIN 55 #define X_ENABLE_PIN 38 #define X_MIN_PIN 3 #define X_MAX_PIN 2 #define Y_STEP_PIN 60 #define Y_DIR_PIN 61 #define Y_ENABLE_PIN 56 #define Y_MIN_PIN 14 #define Y_MAX_PIN 15 #define Z_STEP_PIN 46 #definby lazzymonk - Reprappers
Thats exactly it. So simple im surprised it hasnt been done before.by lazzymonk - General
You could change the pins in the firmware so they extruder is on a different driver slot. That would eliminate a lot of thingsby lazzymonk - Reprappers
it is likely the current on the extruder driver is likely not set correctlyby lazzymonk - Reprappers
Below is the pcb design for the keypad attached is the firmware. It is very basic and the ranges for each button are very wide. If you have a better selection of resistors than I have you should be able to work work out if more than one button is being pressed at the same time.by lazzymonk - General
were you using a metal screwdriver to make the adjustment?by lazzymonk - General
Only problem with that is that the atting85 only has serial out. It can not read serial. It would have to use software serial which is hard get stable at 115200 baudrateby lazzymonk - General
Im thinking adding to the current temp. Like with movements using the m90/m91 commands to switch between relative and absolute. I will post the firmware tonight. Im at work at the moment.by lazzymonk - General
Anyone know of a gcode for relative tempurature changes? That would be helpfulby lazzymonk - General
What I am saying is you likely have not deleted the config file because it wont be stored with everything else I looked about and it seems on a mac the files are stored here /Users/Libraray/Application Support/Slic3r/print /Users/Libraray/Application Support/Slic3r/printer /Users/Libraray/Application Support/Slic3r/filament have you removed these?by lazzymonk - General Mendel Topics
Have you tried adjusting the current on the driver? sounds like you have it set to high. Look that this page for a bit more infoby lazzymonk - Controllers
Im not sure about macs but on windows i know that can happen if the config file gets corrupted. And on windows it is not stored with the program files and is not removed when you uninstall. So my suggestion would be find the config file and remove it (maybe keep a backup encase it isnt the problem)by lazzymonk - General Mendel Topics
1. I have a text only lcd. cant fault it. ( it a reprapdiscount smart lcd with encoder) ive looked at the graphic one and they just look like a waste of time in my opinion. 2. check the wiki and see what the changes are. from memory there isnt that much different. 3. I think most support lcds now. But I would use marlin or repetier, they seem to be the most popular. 4. is it the hot or cold bit oby lazzymonk - General Mendel Topics
I think your problem is linked to the end stop. Its sounds like the axis is trying to move away from the end stop but the end stop is still triggered. I maybe totally wrong but I would try to resolve the endstop issue and see if that fixes it.by lazzymonk - General Mendel Topics
Thanks I have not tried it with the USB connected but there are no firmware changes needed for it to work so it should do. Only limitation is the attiny85 has a max serial baudrate of 115200. It does work along side an lcd, I use it with an rrd LCD with encoder. The functions are simply gcode sent to D0 pin on the ramps which is the USB serial pin. So you could make each button do what youby lazzymonk - General
pla is 1.25 g/cm^3 so 1kg of filament is 800cm^3 approximatelyby lazzymonk - General
personally im a bit reluctant to download a zip file form someone that has only 2 forum posts and almost no real explanation of what it is. Might just be me thoughby lazzymonk - Controllers
Are you struggling to get the required torque with 1 motor? If so I think you would be better off getting a new motor and just using one. 2 motors is a lot of weight if you dont need it. You could use the extra driver to run a z axis motor. So each motor has its own driver.by lazzymonk - Reprappers
Im not sure if anyone else will be interested in this. But I have recently finished making a 25 button keypad that sends serial commands to my ramps. I made it because im really not a fan of needing a computer to print, but like the controls you get by using a computer. So I made this It is really very simple. Its just an Attiny85, some push buttons and a load of resistors. The resistors makeby lazzymonk - General
one thing to be aware of is any parts of your printer made of pla wont like it. Also watch motor temperatures and other electronics that are inside the chamber.by lazzymonk - General Mendel Topics
Also get a ceramic screwdriver. Stops things like that happening.by lazzymonk - General
When i print pla my bed is between 60-70. You could also try increasing the nozzle temp to 200 for the first layer. I do all my pla print at 200 for all layers.by lazzymonk - Reprappers
I find it easy to switch from pla to abs but not the other way round. I think it is mainly because the temperature needed to get the remaining abs out as a detrimental effect on the pla.by lazzymonk - General
