Quotewidicus im waiting for the revolution i ordered in feb, i asked for a status report yesterday. hard to believe this is possable...playing with fire if it is. Still waiting for my two up. They already have my money so I hope it ships soon. No updates on their site.by Thanos_of_MW - General
Any updates on this printer? QUBD's site claims it ships in April (one week to go)by Thanos_of_MW - General
Mmm... too bad. I tried to support them since they are in the US (so am I) but this is not gaining them any good will for a future purchase. As an engineer I see they have many interesting things listed that I wanted to try, but these delays make me doubt they have them in stock.by Thanos_of_MW - General
All I can say about QU-BD is that they delivered my dual head extruder quickly (before Christmas) but they forgot the 2 motors I paid extra for. I'm still waiting for them after 3 emails. Needless to say that my first 3d printer project is on hold. Are these guys a "fly by night" business?by Thanos_of_MW - General

Cool. This is why I want a multiple head extruder (more than 2). It is more for the materials than the colors. If we could only get a nice looking transparent material...by Thanos_of_MW - General

Wow. Lots of very informative answers. Thanks guys for the valuable information.!by Thanos_of_MW - General
As the title says I've been lurking here for a while and have decided to start my build. So far I have only found metal sources in inches. Any idea where to get 8 mm smooth rods in the USA? I rather find something locally to avoid expensive shipping costs, VAT (from Europe), etc. Working on a very tight budget here (personal use). My concern is with the fit of linear bearings on imperial siby Thanos_of_MW - General
Has anyone tried to extrude delrin? A Google search puts it at 175 Celsius for the melting point. I was wondering if it was safe to recycle the material by making filament in a filabot or other filament maker.by Thanos_of_MW - General
This is what "persuaded" me not to get one. (replying about "chipped" cartridges)by Thanos_of_MW - General

Nice work! I was thinking of building an Eventorbot, but some emergency expenses blew the budget for it. I also have tons of dead printer parts and I think that after looking at what you did it is going to be the best route to follow. This way I won't deprive myself from a 3D printer and the only expense will be in the form of time and work (and learn more about them in the process).
