What foshon means, you should've clicked the button to calculate shipping cost prior to accepting to pay. I think it's in the middle here.by Ohmarinus - General
So, you don't see the shipping cost there? Because I don't pay by credit card, and always, when I pay through online transaction, I get the shipping cost on the quote, so maybe it is a bit misleading yes..by Ohmarinus - General
It's this hihi But didn't jamesdaniel already reply there with: "there are no standard electronics from reprap that do this currently."by Ohmarinus - General
Hi Mac, I've decided to start building a MendelMax 1.5 now. Implementing a few of my own ideas for now like the vertical X-axis. For now I've taken the Prusa i3's vertical axis since it fits on the machine better. When I would use a design like yours, the X-motor would get in the way of the frame. See here:by Ohmarinus - General New Machines Topics
I always check the price before I pay and always notice that something is not right if it is. So I can't really say it's their fault, I would've seen it and sent them a message. However, I understand not everyone is so sharp all the time and indeed it is weird that they ship from a storage in the UK. Mislead? Don't think so.by Ohmarinus - General
When I type into google: Megatronics 2.0 this is the first result: And it shows 6 steppers. First I wanted to post a LMGTFY link but didn't want to come across as being too harsh, however I have to admit you are lazy. Second to that, I think the answer is already given in this topic: So why open a new one?by Ohmarinus - General
Hi, thanks for the advice, however, they charge € 22,32 for shipping the materials.. I guess there is just no other way :// And I've written them an email a while ago if they can guarantee that the aluminum plates are perfectly flat, because I need to have them as flat as possible. Also gonna get a few anodized plates to test what type of aluminum works best. Since anodized is a harder type, maby Ohmarinus - Extruded Aluminum Frames

Hi Normand and thanks! Indeed, I did plan the build a little bit ahead. The filament used for the parts is the 'clear ABS' from repraper.com but I bought it at a Dutch reseller (www.filamentenmeer.nl) because it was easier for me to buy it there. I have measured my build volume to be between 160 and 180 mm in the Z-height. For the X & Y, it it still a bit of a problem because I haven't beeby Ohmarinus - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Thanks everyone for the help, in this topic: there are pictures of the machine and how it turned out. Now waiting for new belts (the ones I currently have are too short... Argh. So can't finish the machine yet. Also, the hotend didn't arrive yet. I hope it comes this week. - Marinusby Ohmarinus - General
Hi guys, so after a long time of thinking, ordering, waiting, re-designing and putting together parts I am finally finalizing my MendelMax 1.5 Here are some pictures, the machine is still not done, but there is already a lot of work done. This is the second 3D-printer I'm building, after working with the first one for 4 months, I decided to build a second printer that improved all the problemsby Ohmarinus - Extruded Aluminum Frames
I didn't tell you the whole story. I've had much better offers, but when they found out I wasn't a company they showed me the door. ~30 euros was the best offer, they told me 30 euros because the DXF file was correct and they would only charge me for aluminum and cutting time, their minimum price was 25 euros, but mine took longer than their minimum. Anyway, I've been trying to get a part laserby Ohmarinus - General
Hey thanks Their software is only Windows though (I'm on a mac). And I've decided to go ahead and make my heatbed the old-fashioned way.. By hand! Just making two square 219x219mm pieces in aluminum and putting springs in-between. it's cheap, easy and still proven to work flawlessly (my Reprap Air 2 is also sporting a similar design and ever since I have it like this, I have never had to caliby Ohmarinus - General
Hey! However I'm not into these kind of things, I think it's beautiful work and this is the kind of work how I see 3D-printing being some kind of 'modern artisan' job Keep it coming!by Ohmarinus - Look what I made!
'so be smarter' ...? - Dumb comment - Use capitals at the beginning of a sentence, and a dot on the end (and no, lists don't need to be ended with a dot) - 'simple '? I am not the kind of person to fake as if I'm interested in a companies product as a big buyer and then get freebie samples and stuff, come one, thats not very honorable. Okay, I have managed to now make the X-ends into ones that are usable on the MendelMax with 8mm smooth rods and M5 threaded rods, with custom bushing holes that are ready for push-fit and the distance between the M5 and the 8mm smooth rod is now also implemented. I have beefed up the block that holds the M5-nut because the distance between threaded rod and smooth rod is much bigger on the Mendelby Ohmarinus - General
Hey, sorry to say but when I read your posts they are very much focussed on two things: "What's the cheapest way to Buy/Build a RepRap" (you have been asking this in multiple topics and opening a topic specifically for this purpose too). And it couldn't hurt to read a bit more about these printers before asking questions However, I can help you a bit. There are a few machines (however not inby Ohmarinus - General
Hi Mike Thats great. BUT.... My country (The Netherlands) is a weird place. The Hardware shops here only have small selections of materials and tools for example. When you're looking for a specific item it soon is a quest that moves to Germany/UK/US because a lot of manufacturing companies simply don't want to deal with non-companies, and hardware stores usually only sell a few popular brands.by Ohmarinus - General
Okay, i'm pissed and swearing out loud. Just for two lasercuts panels in 219x219 in 3mm and 4mm, I get quotes of 80 euros ex taxes (so that will be around 100 euros and probably like 110 with delivery cost). All in all this would mean it cost me $146.06 to have two small panels lasercut. Impossible, I know, I'm 29 years old but I feel like a six-year old swearing at the world saying everythiby Ohmarinus - General

In the process of designing my own printbed/Y-carriage, I have found out that using two aluminum plates makes the carriage virtually warp-resistant. When looking at others' designs, I have found out that a lot of people are using 6mm thick aluminum plates, however, my findings are that 4mm for the bottom plate (with holes in it to make is lighter) and 3mm for the printing surface, is more than eby Ohmarinus - General

I would love a simple introduction as a newbie to GitHub myself. I am interested in it, but don't know where to start. I've already registered and I have a lot of files and designs made that I am now hosting on Thingiverse, but I feel Thingiverse is not really working for me and I would like to have a dual storage of my projects and in the Thingiverse I would then have this 'Check my Github hereby Ohmarinus - General
