Well, with laser sintering, you sometimes do need support structures, the printed object can become heavy on one side and sag down into the powder. But I agree, Laser sintering is a much more useful way of printing metal..by Ohmarinus - General
I have found a company that produces a type of bushing for me in a custom length, that is free of maintenance and lasts very long. All I get from IGUS is not very useful quotes so I'm done with that company. Also, the questions I ask in the comments that I sent in with the order are completely skipped, twice. If the bearings are any good from the other company, I might start selling them here,by Ohmarinus - General
Hey I'm not sure what your problem is, and I am not an admin or a mod or anything, and maybe I feel over-responsable, but could you please stop your ways of pushing this completely unclear information onto users of this forum? The Sales forum is somewhere else, and even there it's not really appreciated the way you just spam your info on the forum. If you really wanna sell something and be a goby Ohmarinus - General
Hi, did you already try out your Nylon printing tests? I have contacted IGUS again, they have a reseller in the Netherlands who is charging over 6 euros per bushing. You understand I am NOT going to pay 6 euros per linear bearing to that company. Meanwhile I have also found a company that can sell me similar bushings for around 1.44 euros a piece, all I have to do is design some kind of holderby Ohmarinus - General
My fear is (or expectation) that they will sell this to a lot of people who have no idea of how 3D-printing works, and they will buy the machine, and get warping and other problems and them we will get all new topics about warping here and new topics of how to calibrate the velleman printerby Ohmarinus - General
Most of our furniture is square, I see no problem here. My bed is square, my door is square, my table is square.. If the man is trying to create a way of cheap housing, it's very logical to keep it square. I understand your comment, but why should you 'not' want to have it square? I think just making something organic so it's not square, a kind of crappy idea it has to fit concept. Simba Wby Ohmarinus - General

It's because of all the lasercut parts I'm seeing in the design, and I think that the extrusion-X-axis is butt-ugly. Good idea either way. It's idea btw, not idear Mendel90, Kossel, PrismX, MendelMax 1.5 are all favorites of me and I dislike the MendelMax 2.0 very much.by Ohmarinus - General
Yesterday I saw a technique of spraying on concrete with a spray nozzle that had the cement being extruded from one side slowly and an air compressor that was connected to the side of the spray-nozzle that pressed out the concrete in a spray. This worked incredibly well, I know it's still the problem of getting the concrete there, but it looked like something useful.by Ohmarinus - General
The filament I'm currently using is the 'Clear ABS' from www.filamentenmeer.nl BUT this vendor gets it's filament from Repraper, so thats where it's from. It's the filament I'm showing in this topic, last post: In the last photo you can clearly see the ABS sticks to the bed very well, even with a small contact surface (the bottom of the object that is printing is tapered a little) and I've alsby Ohmarinus - Printing

Looks like they are printing with soldering tin haha, and yes, it's super tiny.. I would still go for metal sintering process: ANd look at this stuff: They print a mold and then pour metal in it. The beauty of a mold is that you can refine the detail in it by hand where needed and you can re-use it in some cases (not always).by Ohmarinus - General
If you just had used the search option, you would've noticed theres already an abundance of topics on these exact motors And yes, I have two printers running those motors now, so no problemo here.by Ohmarinus - General
Oh god, I hope my printer evolves into a new kind of pokemon. A pokemon that slays spammers like you.by Ohmarinus - General
Okay, I've gone for even a bit longer ones, with an outward edge on one side so I can push them in a hole, but not through that hole. Really excited how it will work!!! Exciteddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd!by Ohmarinus - General

I bought some clear ABS filament from www.filamentenmeer.nl it is the exact same repraper filament that srPowdercoating is using, here are a few examples of two tests, one test I made myself, it is a 25x25mm square which has 5mm wide strips that get higher with 0.325mm each step to test the translucent qualities of thby Ohmarinus - Dutch User Group - Archive

Ok the idea changed, I will use 8mm smooth rods ONLY and I think the bushing length will be 16mm. Inner diameter: 8mm Outer Diameter: 15mm (same as LM8UU so I can just put these bushings in) Length: 16mm Will this length work without giving me trouble, considering my machine is square and the rods are straight and precisely round?by Ohmarinus - General
Get a Mendel90 from Nophead, it's not that expensive, and it's proven to be a nice kit.by Ohmarinus - General
When looking at the BOM of the MendelMax, I see some 10mm smooth rods, I am ordering my vitamins now, and I notice in the STL's that there are also 8mm versions of the Z-axis in the STL's. These are for the Z-vertex, the Motor mount and this would mean that if I use these, I don't need 10mm smooth rods anywhere in my MendelMax right? This would make my ordering process easier and cheaper. Can aby Ohmarinus - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Wow Have Blue, that looks like a very good printer, look how detailed those prints look! One would be a total idiot not to buy that printer, except the fact that it would have to be local pick-up and takes about half of the space of a living-roomby Ohmarinus - General
The only thing I'm missing is a 'finished' photo of your hotend, I only see it small on a machine, or as a render, but no closeup of the hotend without anything attached to it. Also, I feel like making an 'all metal' hotend is the latest thing, PTFE is nice, but I really do think it's not that hard to create an all-metal hotend, if you have the right equipment that is. I am currently investigatby Ohmarinus - General
Just buying another printer probably doesn't solve anything, BUT I really like Nophead's design of the Mendel90. If I havent had this new crush on the MendelMax, I would've bought his Mendel90.by Ohmarinus - General
