Just finished rebuilding (less electronics! But with motors) my Wilson TS - Stretch. However before I add the electronics, I would like to mount it to a board. Has anyone mounted their Wilsin TS. If so, how did you bolt down the Y-axis ends?by Michaelj - General
QuoteRRuser What are the the buying points for the TS? I've so far only looked at the Folger, GeeTech, and Wanhou. Take a look at this past posting:by Michaelj - General
Quoteklundry What is a t-slot corner support exactly? Corner Bracket I feel the corner brackets will help true the whole frame and keep it even sturdier. I should be receiving the parts on Monday or Tuesday, and hopefully find some time to finish my build. I have waited this long another few days doesn't bother me, and I have been so busy otherwise that I really have not had time to dedicaby Michaelj - General
Been holding off, I want to pick up some t-slot corner supports to make the frame sturdier, and also I'll use them to anchor it to a piece of plywood. Also want to put in a 45 degree support to the right side to further support the upright frame. Otherwise all the parts have pretty much been put together and waiting for the electronics to be installed. Biggest problem is the corner supportsby Michaelj - General

Looking for a good assortment of M2 M3 M4 & M5 screws and nuts to have around for future rep rap projects. Looked through eBay and didn't find much.by Michaelj - Reprappers
Wow, that's awesome, I can't wait to get mine up and running. Good luckby Michaelj - General
Klundry how is your build going? Just got my replacement parts from Marty, hope to resume my build tomorrow.by Michaelj - General
First thing will probably be the bearings, and some supports to better stabilize the printer itself. After that I'll decide maybe a better extruder or aluminum build plate.by Michaelj - General
Well after my first hiccup, a bad y-axis end, which Marty quickly replace I built my y-axis. Only things I found were that I needed to place the linear bearings 87mm from the back on the motor side, otherwise the bearing holders hit the y-axis end before tapping out on the end stop. Also it sounds a bit load and feels gritty, but otherwise moves pretty well. I am guessing better bearings are iby Michaelj - General
Good choice! I started mine today. Got the Y-axis finished. I am following the videos. I watch a video one night, then follow along with the video the next day. Just one note. Before you start, watch the update videos, as there are some slight differences from the original videos. Good luck and enjoy your build.by Michaelj - Prusa i3 and variants
If you are going to spend that much add a couple of dollars and just get a Wilson TS. Also I would stay away from the acrylic frame.by Michaelj - General
AndrewBCN - I can not find the Absolute Beginners Guide in the wiki? It doesn't come up in search either. the digital dentist - now I kind of get that, Openscad would be just the g-code? similar to what is used with Mach3 and a cnc?by Michaelj - General

Hello, please understand I am completely new to this stuff, and know VERY little. I purchased a Wilson TS from mjrice. One of the parts was bad, so Marty is quickly sending out a replacement. So in the meantime I have been looking around. I found some stuff on gift hub and thingiverse. But have no idea what I am looking at or for when it comes to files and such. So my question is: Once I builby Michaelj - General
I second the Wilson TS from Marty. I just ran into a glitch, and he responded via email wishin minutes. Customer support goes far in my book, and his support seems to be excellent. I have heard others here waiting weeks for some of these kit companies to respond!by Michaelj - Prusa i3 and variants
Well I got a late start. Actually started today. Took out the parts and started with the Y-axis. My luck, one of the y-axis ends was broken. I tried Gorlla Super glue it didn't work at all. So, I emailed Marty (he responded within minutes) and he is going to send me out a new piece. So just gonna have to wait till it comes in. mjrice seems to have excellent customer service, from my experiby Michaelj - General
Quoteandreq If you have any question, you can PM me anytime. I finished building mine about a month ago and been using it almost 3-4 time a week. Assembly is quite easy and the reward is epic. Hope you have as much fun as I do Thank you for the offer. I was planning on getting started this weekend, but things came up. If I have any problems, I will PM you, thank you again. - Michaelby Michaelj - General
QuoteBoriSpider Good to know one can contact him and buy one. I'm assuming this way one can have a kit tailor-made to include/exclude stuff you want/don't want. Yes, Marty is very accommodating. Excellent person to deal with.by Michaelj - General
Quotedx3Prints Thanks for the reply. One last question, what is the stretched version? The bed is 300mm x 200mm instead of 200mm x 200mmby Michaelj - General
Quotedx3Prints Good for you. I am new. Currently debating between Folger prusa and wilson ts would you mind tell me how much is the total cost for your printer? I don't see mjrice listing his printer on ebay, did you contact him to place your order? I am sorry if this is off topic I bought directly from mjrice. Do a search for him on github and drop him an email. I basically saved the cost ofby Michaelj - General

Quoteandreq I'm currently looking for an aluminium plate (instead of glass) to put over my MK3 "bent" bed. I think a 3/16" thick, 8.375" x 7.9375" plate would fit well and stay flat. Since we're a bit on the subject, anyone know where I could find this cheaply in Canada ? I've emailed some local supplier and they all have crazy minimum order.
