Hmmmm... only now i noticed that pronterface shows "0 fillament used" message even for the originally supplied .gcode of android by nophead... ignore me for now - i must try to print with this latest gcode Jackby weirdgod - Mendel90

Hmmm... I said my thanks too soon... I tried two things: 1. copying again the supplied profile over mine... and working with ABS profile... but once I have gcode, and I open it in pronterface, it tells me that no fillament will be used (as it did the first two times, when extruder was not working at all).. so i guess this will dry print again. 2. i specifically went into DIMENSION tab and conby weirdgod - Mendel90

Aaaah, I did, but first thing i also did was to change profile to PLA Maybe you mention this in manual! Thanks for explanation!by weirdgod - Mendel90

Hi! As a new user of mendel90 (from nophead's kit) I tried slicing using Skeinforge... I used nophead's profile files (overwriting the ones created by skeinforge in same directory)... Slicing looks OK, but when I start printing (from gcode copied to SD card), printer does all the moves - but the extrusion motor is not moving at all... Looks like a "dry run".... I lost 1hr going thru skeinforge sby weirdgod - Mendel90

Did you see this Cyrus printer? For 499+ GBP it looks like a great deal: -fairly large print bed (25x28x30 cm) -stable design with bed moving only in Z-axis (like Tantillus and X400) -dual extruder option -hot bed option -lcd screen option -enclosed box design to keep printing chamber warm -made in EU from best parts of reprap & 3d printing community few more days before campaign ends. hby weirdgod - For Sale

This printer is currently a project on Kickstarter... I pledged for its cause, because I like stable bed printer (only Z movement) , which in my mind helps with fine detail printing, especially with softer materials (like nylon)... It is also a project taking "best" from reprap community and existing kickstarter 3d related projects...
