Having problems with my website so i am unable to upload pictures to the beds, 8 inch £7.50 + vat and 12" £14.50 + vat and delivery. PM me if you want to order them and i will sort it out.by andornot - General
I am have been testing magnetic beds to create a flexible bed at affordable prices. I have just received DjDemonD piezo z probe which i will use to test the flexible bed. The right type of magnetic material needs o cope with 120degrees or it will demagnetise, so it needs to be ferro based. I have done trials with two ferro based magnets, one on the bed and the other on the build plate, it printby andornot - General

I am developing a flexible bed system for any flexible bed plate such as my own or PEI etc Andrewby andornot - General
The material is clear and can be easily cut with a pair of scissors. The main reason in it not coloured like buildtak and lokbuild is the cost it adds to the sheets. Glass and pei is clear like many other bed materials, so why add cost to the end user so the supplier can heavily brand his product. I am offering a very build surface, that is tough and more robust that existing products on the markby andornot - General
I am launching a new build plate and i am looking for beta testers to trial the material. Its a clear thermoplastic the print setup is much the same as Buildtak and Lokbuild but its much more robust and cost effective. Please PM me if you are interested in testing it, its available in 8 inch square and 12 inch square. Regards Andrew wade AndOrNotby andornot - General

The problem with a standard micro switch is the inaccuracies between switching unless you buy an accurate one and they are not cheap. I will post my z probe when it has been fully tested, maybe send out a few for beta testing if anybody is interested.by andornot - Delta Machines
Nice design Neddian, i see you use an optical sensor to detect the z probe moving. My design uses a pure mechanical break, the accuracy of the one i knocked up in the garage was +/- 0.005mm, i am hoping for nearer +/- 0.001mm or less with proper bushed version. I will keep you posted when its available. Andrewby andornot - Delta Machines
Its all about supply and demand, if there are only two types of z probes for delta printers, then these will be used. If a new design comes out and its far superior to anything else then this might become the standard, even E3D online maybe interested. I have tried both, your mini IR sensor and FSR's under the bed supports. Andrewby andornot - Delta Machines
Rob, I am actually design a z probe at the moment that is super accurate and will be lifted by servo built into it. I want to build the servo drive into the z probe so it can be retracted on/off with having to config your mother board to control RC servo's, just essentially flick a switch. The bane of 3d printing is the calibration and bed height, plus the extruder with a bowden setup. Andrewby andornot - Delta Machines
I do not have a problem measuring the length, as the delta printer is drawn in 3d cad. The calibration software sorts inaccuracies between cad and the real thing. The delta mechanism i.e. arms, end effector and slides are either machined or off the shelf parts so difference between cad and the real thing is minimal. i use a smoothie board on my custom built delta SpatialOne, metal construction fsr levelling using pilot626 fork for the calibration. It produces excellent prints and is very easy to calibrate. If you need any advice, more than happy to help. Andrewby andornot - Delta Machines

The 2RS are sealed for life bearings i.e. the grease within the bearing cannot get out or contaminants get into the bearing and damage it. The ZZ are just a metal shield to stop larger contaminants damaging the bearing. Other than that the bearings are identical, it all depends what environment you are using the bearings for. Is it possible to extrude say 5mm before the print starts using g code that i can add. regards Andrewby andornot - Slic3r
Yes i have been testing them for 3 months on my delta printer. Their wear rate depends on what materials and tolerance you fasten them to the carriages. Good for a light weight option and low cost, may wear to quick i will see after my tests. Andrewby andornot - Delta Machines
I have designed a delta printer with zero play using industrial bearings and slides with a print area of 250 diameter and 340 height. I am currently printing with pla 1.75mm using a j head and i am looking at doubling the print speed of standard cartesian printers. Any suggestions of how to do this as the j head cannot keep up with the demand for melted filament, any recommendations on other hoby andornot - General
