I'm getting tired of messing with delta calibrations that almost work. For those of you using Duet and the DC42 firmware is it to the stage where after the initial configuration, you can run the calibration and start printing without having to mess around with stuff? I'd like to be able to print on one glass plate and when it's finished swap in a second glass plate, run a quick calibration andby WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
When you do M119 does the Z-probe register on Z-min? I'd check that first, if your Z-probe is not showing on M119 that would explain it.by WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Not yet. I got distracted with some other projects. I did confirm that others have plugged it straight into a SmoothieBoard and had it work as expected without having to do the mods.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I'm planning to use the IR Sensor with the following build plate stack. PEI Plate 0.762mm 3M 468 Adhesive Tape 0.128mm Glass 3mm Aluminum heat spreader 2mm Would the PEI plate be sufficiently opaque or do I need to consider painting the glass or aluminum?by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I agree, I'm moving all my hobby stuff (printer, router, radio control) to 32-bit platforms. The 8-bit field already has many options, what we need are more 32-bit higher speed options. The Due is nice but I'd like to see the RAMPS (modular) philosophy adapted to the 120Mhz LPC1769 used in the Smoothie stuff. A six slot modular shield using the LPCXpresso in a CPU slot would be great.by WZ9V - Controllers
Thanks, sounds like I could easily do it with my drill press based on the descriptions.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I'm curious as to how you machined the bolt heads with the ball head mill. I was looking at magnetic arms for a MK but they used cylinder magnets in the arms with steel balls on the effector and carriage. Your way seems cleaner to me since it seems like it would have more surface area for the the attraction between the parts and be easier to assemble. I have a feeling my MK will be busy makiby WZ9V - Delta Machines
Cool build thread. I'm thinking of trying this myself once my Kossel Mini is fully operational and can print the parts. Going to use your video to tune my mini and X5by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Can you ship to the US and what would be the cost?by WZ9V - Controllers
I've managed to calibrate the x, y, z and center now it's onto the extruder calibration.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Thanks. I had forgotten about those. I'm so close at this point it probably is the right time to use that adjustment.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I suspected the direction pin based on the behaviour and swapped in the extruder driver which magically fixed the problem. I did have the endstops wired to the min inputs because thats what the configuration on the Repetier tool had at first. I switched them to max and re-did the config and now I can how with G28 just fine. I'm working through the steps in the article you referenced in your blby WZ9V - Delta Machines
Nope, I bought these. Probably will take a magnifying glass to it to see if there is a problem. Reflowing the direction pin will be easy to try.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Seems I might have a bad stepper driver. I swapped it and the problem moved with it. I replaced with the one I was going to use for the extruder and now all steppers move in sync and in the same direction. Now I just need to do the other bazillion steps but not bad for a Sunday. I have working Firmware including my display and it can at least home now.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Using Reptier 0.91 and Mac Repetier Host Request positive Z movement (up) and X/Z move up but Y moves down Request negative Z movement (down) and all three move down Where should I be checking for this weird Y movement?by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I'm not using rails, I did the wheels conversion. I followed your config steps you sent and I have X and Z moving in the right direction by Y is moving downward no mater with direction I try for Z. What should I be looking for?by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I finally figured it out after much searching and mulling it over. The other 3 end stops are intended to help align the linear rail which I'm not using not to be min positiion switches. Min position end stops made zero sense because there is no way to set them up so that the head could not crash in some way.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
If the Kossel mini only uses 3 end stops why did my set of parts come with 6 holders?by WZ9V - Delta Machines
That's helpful, thanks.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Thanks. I may just yank it off then. It didn't seem too stable and I'm putting in a heated bed anyway.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I may just be missing something but I'm confused about auto level on a Kossel Mini. Mine is pointed towards the stepper labeled as X, should I rotate everything to point it toward Z instead? I dug out a diagram and instructions that say the switch is plugged into Z-Min but it wasn't clear if the probe needed to be pointed toward the Z-tower or not.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
I'm planning to do something similar but I'm going to test it out on the smaller size first. Do a search for Kossel on Thingiverse and you can find some carriers that do not require a looped belt. The place I'm getting my printed parts from (Maker Geek) agreed to make me a few custom items from thingiverse as part of my order for an additional fee. In particular this should help and it's whatby WZ9V - Delta Machines
