Hi I tried to import the solid works files in to fusion360 but there are a few missing 448 650 1137 1182 1183 1185 1193 splitter_base 152.1 all of them except the splitter base is are SLDPRT files i tried to look arround on reprappro's github repro's but could not find the last ones no where does anyone know where to get them?by boelle - Fisher

anyways i had to cut arround the screws so damage can be avoided. i can use the bed but the pei will have to be replaced.by boelle - General

but yes that was also my idea... heating it up and lift the pei and restick while the glue is hot and then again i just need access with an allen key so i can hold the screw hmm... guess i will just have to be brave and try the "cut a cross" method. seems the less risky optionby boelle - General

Hi I got one of the MK42 beds and i'm in the need of changing out the standoffs that came on it. are there any tricks that can be used to lift the PEI without causing any damage to either PEI or adhesive ? or is the only alternative to take an sharp knife and cut a cross on the screw head just big enough that an allen key can get to it?by boelle - General

well this one might spark some interest: at least prusa will not sit on the market for these beds much longer. but again some software genius will still need to port the feature to the other firmwares. if not then at least people will have a slightly bigger bed with zoned heatingby boelle - General

Of course their bed is doing magic and not correcting, but so does all bed level stuff. They have never corrected a problem but only compensated for it. My idea was to be able to both compensate but also being told how far off the machine is so that you could correct it until the machine says it does not need correction... or until at least you get to where you cant correct it anymore withoutby boelle - General

I think this is what is to be considered a dead horse... think i will just go for the design of the mk42 bed but without the 9 probe points... the 6 zoned heating is at least something better compared to the standard mk2 bedby boelle - General

i will admit that Reprap firmware could have been an alternative if it would run on 8 bit hardware and yes i can hear the screaming about go for better hardware, but why trash perfectly working hardware? does not make sense to be, and i need to figure if reprap also supports color mixingby boelle - General

" Nope, the only thing i can see is the points in the code so it knows where they are like you i assume it does search for them and then figures the skewness by comparing "How would you do this without a special bed?" I have found that the bed is not so special, it just have these 9 points where it triggers... outside the points the inductby boelle - General

Yep it would be awesome as repetier is the most error free firmware out there right now... not completely free of bugs but the best so far XYZ could be taken out of the prusa firmware i guess and made in to a PR for repetier, even thou its based on marlin firmware it should be possibleby boelle - General

Anyone able to extract the XYZ compensation from Prusa's firmware and make a PR out of it that can be submitted to Repetier? would be nice to have, even the "special" bed is open source... The MK42 not to be mistaken with the Mk2by boelle - General

mains whatever its 230 or 115 does not matter much.... what is important is the isolation between tracks on the PCB... next how "accessible" the tracks are to fingers, of course the solder terminals are the worst spot... but i bet the isolation distance between the tracks are so poor you risk jumps from one track to the other and hence maybe the resistance gets so low it will blow a fuse....by boelle - General

heat bed.. yeah the other hackers said "we just chain up 9 mk2 beds" i laughed and asked them how much current that would be they thought at it for 1 min and came up with a approx 80A number and i told them to say 15A * 9 and asked where they would get a 12V psu rated that much at an fair price before they could answer i added the bonus Q: why not use a 230V silicone heater and a SSR with zeby boelle - General
