This was a kit from Aurora. The Z-605. I've searched every where for a manual or documentation for using Repetier and have found nothing. Kit construction and software manual are a joke. It didn't even explain how to set up xy and z stops much less extruder height ajustments. software guide says load this like that and print. What is Marlin? And do you have any suggestions on setup to print in thby elwood127 - Reprappers
Hey all, I ran one of the printer parts that came with the cd. First thing, how do I setup to print in the middle of the bed? Started printing in front right corner. Fan was hitting screw. Also, it didn't lay down any material for the first few passes. Can I change the rate of extruder feed? Then as the leading edge was being built up it kept trying to push through the material it had laid down.by elwood127 - Reprappers
Hey Doug, that worked. Baud Rate was set to 250000 so I knocked it back to 115000 and can now make noise with the machine. Yea! Now I have some new issues. Y Stop only works while bed is moving away from stop switch. Also, I need some pointers on how to setup "Home" or "Park" position. Right now if I click Y Home the bed goes all the way backwards until it hits the motor. Z "Home wants to driveby elwood127 - Reprappers
Well, I uninstalled and reloaded Repetier 1.0.5. Win7 automatically loaded USB drivers. Set up in Printer Settings. Have connection. Clicked on X Axis "Left .10" in Manual Control with no action. Command line says "4 Command waiting". If I keep clicking motor movement controls the command line changes by 3 each click. 4, 7,10, 13 and so on. Whats does Command waiting mean? Ahrg!by elwood127 - Reprappers
OK. Pairs are (Yellow and Blue) and (Red and Green). Have utilized these pairs with no results. Motors not getting the signal.by elwood127 - Reprappers
Hey Andrew, thanks for the reply. I've loaded the latest version of Repetier. Went through "Printer Setup". "Connection Made". No heating of extruder or hot bed. No noise or movement in motors through manual control. Extruder fan runs. Light is on on MB. I'm starting to think that my USB coonection is lacking. I ordered a new SSD drive and plan on doing a clean install of Win7 and Repetier when iby elwood127 - Reprappers
I found what looks to be the same model stepper. Nema 17 76 oz-in, 4.2 volt. They list wiring as: 1A-RED, 1B-GREEN, 2A-YELLOW, 2B-BLUE. I got the nads to plug this printer in and load software. In manual control I get no action. When I click on control button I see a caption reading: Command 3, Command 6 and so on as I click different control buttons, but no movement. I'm about to chuck it in theby elwood127 - Reprappers
Thanks man, I'm terrified that this wiring is going to be wrong. The steppers have no I.D. on them at all. That can't be good. The attached photo is the motor with the back pulled off. Wiring from left to right is Yellow/ Red----Blue/ Green. The other pic shows the stepper body. Hope that helps. Also, am I wrong thinking that all the motors should be wired the same? In my instructions thet have (by elwood127 - Reprappers
I hate to be a pain but, can you just look at my board and tell me from top to bottom on each connector, what would be the order? And should all 4 be the same. Right now they say that every other motor has blue and yellow switched. Thanks man. I appreciate your time. Brian.by elwood127 - Reprappers
My X axis motor mount and opposing mount were printed terribly. Feed rods and feed screws were converging causing a major bind. Got (2) new ones from supplier but they were worse than original set. I have to assume that many kit buyers have seen this same problem. Obviously the manufacturer's printer is out of calibration. Here are some pics of how bad the alignment was off and how I solved the pby elwood127 - Reprappers
Here is the motor wiring. From Left to right: Blue, green, yellow, red. Also a pic of how assembly instructions say they should be wired. Notice that every other connector has yellow and blue switched. I would have ASSumed that all would be the same. Thanks for your help. Brian.by elwood127 - Reprappers
I'm getting conflicting advice on motor wiring. Instructions say X and Z motor gets Red, Green, Yellow, Blue. Y and Extruder get Red, Green, Blue yellow. China sent me a picture of wiring that say if you have yellow wire on motors than all get Red, Green, Blue , Yellow. Trying to have a legable conversation with my Chinese rep is about impossible. Please help. Thanks. Brian in Wyoming.by elwood127 - Reprappers
