Hi all, During a small print, the hotend of my Prusa i3 stopped working. The temperature began droping and it was so indicated on the Promterface console (echo: Heating Failed). Inmeditelly I tried it again and, when trying to heat up, the LCD screen also started flickering. I've disassembled the RAMPS board and I checked both the thermistor and the heating element on the extruder. The thermistby Hauser - General
it happened also to me when I set up my firmware.. try to change: #define INVERT_X_DIR true to #define INVERT_X_DIR false watch out because the home position for your x axis will be on the oposite side. I don't know if it's the best way to solve it, but it's how I did it.by Hauser - General
Hi all, I want to install a cooling fan on my Prusa i3. I'm just beginning on 3D printing and working with PLA the whole time. Researching online, I've seen people who use the fan to cool the coldend part of the extruder and also people who use the fan to cool what's has been recently printed. What is is really advisable to use the fan for? What is the difference between using it for one thingby Hauser - General
Hi all, If I understood that correctly, the extruder motor needs a little bit more current than the X, Y and Z motors. Following what I found I set all the Pololu Drivers to a voltage of 0.41 volts so that it delivers aprox 1A of current. However I still don't know how much current the extruder motor needs to work accuratelly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,by Hauser - General

Hi all, I got my first 3D printer a few days ago and I just finished building it (it is a Prusa i3 kit). Everything seems to be ok, I customized the Marlin fimware to my needs and I should be ready to go. However I found an issue with the extruder (Greg's Wade). When I was about to calibrate the extruder motor I noticed that the motor did not have enough torque to feed the filament (ABS, 3mm) inby Hauser - Printing
