is anyone currently running sprinter on their electronics? i am going to call them tonight for some assistance regarding the matter. i made the switch but it isnt acting correctly morristby morrist - General
just got it to connect by using 19200, but upon Turning on the power, i cannot jog it around or read temperatures in repsnapperby morrist - General
just kidding, not quite working. i changed the motherboard settings to 22 as instructed and i changed the thermistor to the proper one in the config.h file. After uploading it and trying to connect to repsnapper, i cannot get the printer to connect. i changed the baudrate in repsnapper to 115200 as instructed in the arduino file for sprinter. Am i missing something or using the incorrect baudrateby morrist - General
sorry to spam the forum. Think i got it, a few seconds after postingby morrist - General
Hello, i just went to download sprinter from the github. under the read me a link is listed as where to "clone" the file. after clicking on it i am brought to a 404'd webpage. is there a more recent working website to find this? Thank you Morristby morrist - General
so i am getting ready to switch over to the sprinter frimware on my techzone monolithic board. and i have a limited knowledge of thermistors so i wanted to confirm here before i look to order one at so i could use any from the list, such as // 7 is 100k Honeywell thermistor 135-104LAG-J01 Morristby morrist - General Mendel Topics
any ideas on the thermistor at all?by morrist - General
i think i found one, so i could use any from the list, such as // 7 is 100k Honeywell thermistor 135-104LAG-J01 Morristby morrist - General
is there a specific one that you could recommend? i will order one as soon as i know for sure it could work. thanks again morristby morrist - General
nudel, it seems like very sound advice, i will attempt to rebuild the hot end and adjust the board for the new firmware. i will repost with how it turns out. and cass, acceleration currently does not work well on the board, and ive heard of higher print speeds for sprinter. also, sprinter does use microstepping and im 90% the 5d doesnt, so if i understand it correctly, the accuarcy will be betterby morrist - General
Thanks nudel, i have seen the wiki i am just curious on how many in the community do/ have done this already, and if the changes brought greater rewards. Morristby morrist - General
hello all, i wanted to poll the community to see how many are using sprinter on their monolithic boards? i have been getting good prints from their standard firmware but i heard a rumor that sprinter may work better. before i make that change and start the calibration all over again, i wanted to hear about it from people who have the set up. Thank you Morristby morrist - General
hello, i have some useful insight to offer i have built the original mendel and i am now build a prusa mendel for the university here in buffalo. and they both seem to have some pro's and cons. mendel, has some interesting design characteristics which i think could make it more accurate from a standard build. also, its design is more interesting( such as the bearing set-ups with the 3 on one sidby morrist - General Mendel Topics
not a problem, spenc. it's nice to see i can help someone after all the help ive received from the community. let me know if you have other strange issues and i'll try to answer them. Morristby morrist - General
spenc, i have had that problem and i think i may be able to fix your problem. first you need to make sure that your thermocouple is continuous. i believe it should read somewhere near 7 ohms. i don't know exactly what the error code was, but i used a 1ft shielded cat5 patch cable to connect the board to the extruder tip manager. after doing this the codes disappeared all together. it leads me tby morrist - General
I have built a kit with their kit for printed parts. Their support is helpful, however it can be few and far between. If you buy their electronics, the monolithic set has been working perfectly for me since i traded their gen3 for it. the gen3 is harder to put together with not enough documentation. also, their hardware seems to skip corners which caused me to have to buy more m3,m4 screws so i hby morrist - General
hello, i have an odd problem that just came up that im not sure how to fix. when the x motor reverses direction, it seems to skip the first couple directions. this only is happening \with the x direction. my reprap mendel is being run by repsnapper with techzone monolithic electronics.by morrist - General Mendel Topics
one more thing, when switching directions on the x axis( im jogging it with repsnapper) it doesnt step properlyimmediately. the belt tention is not too much thoughby morrist - General
also, it seems as though im stuck with the rectangular fill. i tried it once, and all my gcode has it now. even though it isnt checked in skeinforgeby morrist - General
so i am very close to understanding all f the settings in skein forge i believe. except, i have on and of problems with my z axis. i tried using limit to change the z axis speed to 2mm/s and it seems as though the z axis doesnt step enough as it should when im running apart. but if i jog it, it moves perfectly. does anyone have any suggestions? i have techzone monolithic electronics and am runniby morrist - General
droftarts, everything has been working well except this. i looked into it, the layers are being made. but the z axis seems to not move the correct amount when told to by the g code. but repsnapper jog commands moves it the correct amount. my question is maybe the z axis travel rate is too great, so maybe it is making the motor skip, which would prevent the layers from being the correct distanceby morrist - Skeinforge
not sure what the issue was,but it does appear to be working now. i will post fi figure out what the problem wasby morrist - Skeinforge
hello all a little problem,so i created g code with skeinforge 40, and it doesnt seem to add each layer's z height.here is a sample of the g code, maybe i am missing a simple command or box to check G90 G21 M105 ;M113 S1.0 ;M108 S33.0 G1 X54.8 Y19.24 Z0.4 F60.0 G1 F798.0 G1 E1.0 G1 F60.0 G92 E0 ;M101 G1 X56.89 Y19.84 Z0.4 F1980.0 E0.0887 G1 X59.52 Y21.27 E0.2106 G1 X60.35 Y21.34 E0.2444 G1 X65.by morrist - Skeinforge
we are indeed nearly there! thank you so much for all your help, without it this would have taken much longer or i would have never figured it out. i suppose the skeinforge section may be appropriate Morristby morrist - General
it looks like 50 is the max feed rate on sk as well? after maxing one and minimizing the other( feed and flow) to the same number, and setting multiply to on, here is my new g code G90 G21 M105 ;M113 S1.0 ;M108 S50.0 G1 X80.89 Y80.36 Z0.2 F60.0 G1 F798.0 G1 E0.0 G1 F60.0 G92 E0 ;M101 G1 X119.64 Y80.36 Z0.2 F3000.0 E1.5788 G1 X119.64 Y119.64 E3.1792 G1 X80.36 Y119.64 E4.7796 G1 X80.36 Y80.55 E6.by morrist - General
so if i try to set the flow rate lower, it only allows me to go down to 50. here is a photo just to confirm what we are talking about is the same. and we are most definitively making progress. il try making them both 50, and we can see if that improves the g codeby morrist - General
thank you for the help, whenever is good for you also, my flow rate in skeinforge is set to 210 by default, is this number incorrect?by morrist - General
alright, everything was changed according to your list. i kept preface on, but i did get rid of the two extruder settings as you advised. my E codes are still really high though G90 G21 M105 ;M113 S1.0 ;M108 S210.0 G1 X-19.11 Y-19.64 Z0.2 F60.0 G1 F798.0 G1 E0.0 G1 F60.0 G92 E0 ;M101 G1 X19.64 Y-19.64 Z0.2 F960.0 E20.722 G1 X19.64 Y19.64 E41.7274 G1 X-19.64 Y19.64 E62.7328 G1 X-19.64 Y-19.4by morrist - General
