indeed true! So all works well until I hit the autocalibration. Need to look into this more because it travels violently down 1/3rd from top then slowly to 1/2 then does an air dance acting like it is actually hitting the probe points, but it is in fact about 6-8 inches from the bed.by thetazzbot - Delta Machines
Dave, I was reading this post where you were helping Koenig with his setup. i find the information on the end stops and the LEDs to be of interest. Regardless of my setting, the led only comes on when the end stop is triggered, which actually makes sense to me, and to the firmware, because it does indeed stop The endstops I have are the typical reprap pcb with led, switch, 3 wires. I got the duet board installed finally. Firmware loaded (Thanks DC42 for the instructions) Repetier host just doesnt seem to like it. Using the 115200 baud rate, im getting connection timed out every few commands. i do not have ethernet in my office, so i have to use usb for now. it detects, some commands cme through, then it just waits. 1..2..3...4 commands waiting help? 5 minutes later.by thetazzbot - Delta Machines
Yeah I might use FSR on the bed. I don't want the probe on the effector because of personal preference. Yes, I have duet but have not yet installed it lol Thanks.by thetazzbot - Delta Machines
I want to make my mini-kossel maintenance and calibration friendly. Specifically, I want to be able to: Remove and replace the top triangle which holds the belt pullies; Remove and replace the end stops; Remove and replace the bed; Without having to calibrate the machine. Before you say it is not possible: End stop position mounting holes have been drilled and tapped into the extrusion towerby thetazzbot - Delta Machines
If i had time i would put a dual extruder and print black and glow in the dark mask. Or some translucent green with leds behind itby thetazzbot - General

Quotesenior_eduardo I don't see a 3/8" auger bit on a .4mm nozzle achieving retraction on par with a standard filament extruder. All the development in the world won't change that. I tend to believe that something this simple hasn't been done yet because it's impossible. 2008 - printing 3d objects from plastic line is impossible!by thetazzbot - General

Are u really using an stk500 to program the arduino... I doubt it. Looms like some setting is amiss telling avrdude that youre using stk500. that is a development board for avr devices by atmel. Yes you could use stk5p0 to program an arduino but not sure why you would...by thetazzbot - General
Oh and then print a new one in absby thetazzbot - General
Looks more like over extrusion to me. Have you calibrated your e-steps? measure how much filament comes out of the extruder (not the hot end) or how much goes into the extruder when you press 10mm or 50mm... Fancy auto levelling aside, you might want to practice at doing it manually. It brings you closer to the soul of the machineby thetazzbot - Printing
Definitely for long prints SD card is the way to go. But I've noticed it doesn't behave the same when running from Repetier Host as it does when running from SD card... it prints smoother from Host.by thetazzbot - Printing
I would suggest: 1) Powered USB Hub 2) Make sure that the computer doesn't have any "sleep after XX minutes set" and no automatic screen timeout. I witnessed my printer stall right when the screen saver come on and it kinda startled me I was like what the heck...by thetazzbot - Printing
Bummer. But laser cut wont make any difference if assembly is not accurate.by thetazzbot - Reprappers
Did you cut them individually? Hard to mess these up. Bundle all the rods then tape both ends with masking tape or blue painters tape. I used a cut off saw with fine tooth blade but a band saw or hack saw will work. Have to put them in a vise and trim off the ends to make them even. Pretty easyby thetazzbot - Reprappers
You just need a spring loaded flap attached to the printer in the OPs pic to hold pressure on the filament as the spool turns. In his configuration the flap would be at the back of the spool pointing up towards the direction of feed.by thetazzbot - Reprappers
If you can find this stuff, they say it works wonders for nylon 1/4" sheet of Garolite LE (as seen here: ).by thetazzbot - Reprappers
Also, the speed on the print is a factor. I'm printing at a slow pace of 25mm/s (also suggested by Taulman) (yes, its painful to watch my printer go so slowly)by thetazzbot - Reprappers
55c is what Taulman recommends. The settings you are using are spot on what the manufacture suggested. But they also suggest 100% pva instead of gluestick. What I'm using is a watered down solution of elmers glue. Spread on the bed with a foam brush and allow it to dry completely before turning on the bed. However, painters tape tends to peel and I suspect that is causing my warping. I'mby thetazzbot - Reprappers
Ibran my printer today on the reprap powersupply without its fan. The label on the ps says fan will come on when temps require it.. So the original fan was crap and has a bad bearing so i took it out. I used my temp gun and it read 100 on the al. case. Running both gotend and heatbed for several hoursby thetazzbot - Reprappers
I like the hardened bolt idea. Cheaper than stainlessby thetazzbot - General
So I decided that driving to the makerspace to use the lathe was more of a hassle than it was worth. Since I have a drill press I wondered... can I make a nozzle on the drill press? Yes, you can!by thetazzbot - Look what I made!
lol now that's just thinking too far outside the box j/kby thetazzbot - Reprappers
Well, unless you're drilling and tapping your own heater block, sticking to the standard m6 thread size is wise. All my heater blocks have m6 threads. This weekend i managed to make a nozzle. w00t. and it worked. w00t w00tby thetazzbot - General
