QuoteOutbound So I'm taking a look at the Github for Marlin but it seems like the only thing I can do is suggest a new file. I'm not sure how to upload all the changes I've made to my configuration so someone can look at it. Any hints? I'm not a GitHub expert. But what you do is fork the appropriate repository. You tell it to put it on your local machine. You make what ever changes you neby Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
QuoteOutbound Thanks, I'll try that. I've been looking for a reason to learn how to work with Github and I guess I've found a good one. And actually.... Probably what is going to happen is you don't need to do a Pull Request. The reason is GitHub is going to show you the changes to the files. And you are going to see a mis-matched #ifdef / #endif pair most likely.by Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
QuoteOutbound I'm still getting errors, namely in terms of variables that it's complaining that aren't declared in the scope. I'm not that familiar with Python so I'm sure I'm just missing something basic here and not setting some fundamental configuration steps. If anyone has the patience I've put together a small zip file with the Megatronics generic firmware I've been trying to configure andby Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Almost always when you get a "was not declared in this scope" error the problem is being caused by mismatched #ifdef #else and #endif preprocessor directives. The #else is harder to check. But when you are done editing the file, the number of #ifdef and #endif directives should always be equal (in Marlin).by Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
It sure seems to me the supplier of the hardware should already have made the changes to make Marlin work with your printer. If your electronics is a MSK Mini that must be a clone of something else, right? Do you know what it looks like electronically?by Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
QuoteDeuxVis I'm all for it personally, but I think in the past at some point we concluded we did not want to start making subfolders there. Are there still some opposition ? If yes please explain why. I'll give everyone 2 weeks, given the time of the year, to get a chance to express your point if you don't want to create firmwares sub-folders by "brand". After that I'll go ahead and create thby Roxy - Administration, Announcements, Policy
Hi! Can we get a Marlin folder at the top level of Firmware Folder's ? It would help us find the Marlin questions and issues rather than having them mixed in with everything else. That would help us support Marlin better. Thank You for everything and considering this request!by Roxy - Administration, Announcements, Policy
QuoteAMINKERR Hi, I've been attempting to climb the Marlin mountain myself. I've been sifting through the code for about 3 weeks now. I just have been going line by line through marlin_main.cpp and commenting it. The other files are covered whenever marlin_main calls on them. Cheers Yeah... Each tab is a different file of the Marlin code base. The other (smaller) sketches he has seen have beby Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Unless your mechanics are super good.... Grid is better than 3-Point. But if your bed is not flat, you may want to bring up Mesh Bed Leveling. Right now I'm looking at unifying the Delta bed leveling with Mesh. The big problem with Cartesian Mesh leveling is you have to manually set the points. Delta's auto bed leveling handles that automatically. But it needs some work to be right foby Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi! I have a quick question. Can we have a Marlin folder at the top level of the Firmware_Folder ? That would help keep all the Marlin threads together and make it easier to find important topics that need support or clarification.by Roxy - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Turn buckle makes sense for a name. In my searches I came across an interesting Wikipedia article. It turns out this part got named in WW-II. They stole the design from the German's. They gave patent rights to a British company to make them. And as a result the official name appears to be: Hiem Joint or Rose Joint: (Hiem being the person and the company that got rights to make the part.by Roxy - Delta Machines
Hi! I'm bringing up a Geeetech G2s Delta printer. I want to build a second Effector for it with things the way I want them. But I don't want to tear the old Effector apart to get the parts I need. In the Assembly Instructions at: it shows the part. It is on Page 37. It is Part #3. They call it a Rod End Bearing Holder. It is 6mm in diameter and threaded all the way through. It has aby Roxy - Delta Machines
