I run Duet Board.. it doesnt run marlin. runs RepRap Firmware DC 24 will it work?by makerparts - General
Will the drivers on a Duet support a 400 step Nema 17 like this oneby makerparts - Ormerod
Lookiing to choose the best sensor for ABL Running Duet Direct Extruder Bed is Alum + 1/4" Glass + PEI sheet Consider. Capacitance Proximity Sensor Piezo Disks - PiBot Optical Reflection Endstop - Mini Differential IR height sensing board - Not sure what i should use.. I want to avoid the Endstop switch on a servo style. any recommendations?by makerparts - General

I am Sourcing a 12" x 24" Silicone Heater for a new printer I am building not sure how many watts I should look for 1000w? I get the feeling my best choice is to use AC mains 110v or am I better off getting two 12x12 heaters?by makerparts - Reprappers
So you can just plug it into the same port on a Rambo? as the stepper does?by makerparts - General
Yes since the servo handles the encoder. seems like perhaps marlin wouldnt know any different from a stepper you can assign the servo a predetermined step amount , using servo firmware but how would you connect the servo to the actual arduino board.. stepper has a 4 wire connection. not sure if servo is the same.by makerparts - General
Curious if its possible to run Servo motors instead of Steppers with Marlin on a 3D printer. using a Rambo control board or something else similar. I realize that it may be a pointless idea. but im just curious if you wanted to do it. what you would need to do These Teknic Clearpath Nema 23 sized servos seem perfect.by makerparts - General
The Dewalt is a cold saw. I heard these give very good results. likely not as good a proper mill. but still good.by makerparts - General
Curious what tips and best practises people would be willing to share to cut V-Slot to exactly length. true and square I am considering purchasing a DeWalt DW872 MultiCutter, I have heard they provide a clean cut. compared to abrasive saws. anyone have any feedback on these saws. also how do you get your extrusion cut to +/-.1mm accuracy?by makerparts - General

I have tried a pull. but so far havent been able to like i have previously with ABS / PLAby makerparts - General
Worst part about PETG is clean up. unlike PLA or ABS. its hard to dilute PETG, if you have a clogged nozzle, you need to heat it up and drill it out. to clean it.. with ABS you can just soak itby makerparts - General
You can get it in other colours. I have PETG in Black, white, Clear, Green, Yellow.by makerparts - General
Using a E3D v6 (3mm) and a Bondtech V2 Extruder with PetG I need to go to 6mm to reduce stringing / oozingby makerparts - General
QuoteSrek Since warm air rises up a printer without a top cover is more or less useless. Yes, preventing draft helps, especially with ABS (the other way a round for PLA), but if the heat escapes you will never be able to print anything even slightly larger with ABS. Don't bother for PLA or PET(G), but i found that Nylon and most elastic materials warp less if you have a real enclosure. Again smalby makerparts - General
I usually print PetG at 245 with a 80degree Bed on PEI, I also use a 6mm Retraction (Direct)by makerparts - General
You should really look at a PEI plastic for the print surface. ive been using it for a year and its amazing. I tried tape, hairspray, ABS Glue, Elmers Glue, Green Tape, Blue tape, Kapton Tape. PEI has been the best and most reliable solution. I mainly print ABS and PETGby makerparts - General
