I hope I can find help with this problem , I have up till now worked with a German Rep Rap Protos V3 ,with great success ,straight out of the box printing 100% , pics enclosed of my V8 Ford Flattie WeberConversion manifolds in Carbon . And My Geeetech I3 Clone , there I printed casting boxes for my Cadillac V8 Inlet Manifold to take Two Carter Carbs ,pictures included. Now I need more size !! Andby zurferjoe - RAMPS Electronics

Hope I can now close the circle ! I would like to run Marlin , it took me a long time to understand it but I got it.I download the Tronxy X5SA from Scott , but when uploading I just get avtrude stk 500 program is not responding etc . Do I need to down load a driver to install the USB kit made for this board or is it plug and play ?by zurferjoe - RAMPS Electronics

Yes going round in circles , I am uploading Arduino ,but not uploading the Marlin section . Ok as you may have guest I am not a electro tech guy . But I have been told that I need Arduino to run my printer yes ? The new Tronxy X5SA board has the Chitu softwareby zurferjoe - RAMPS Electronics

I know that ,Scott Worthington from Customize-3D expained that to me , but I need the Arduino and thats what I cant upload ,just getting "avtrude stk500 program is not reponding" .by zurferjoe - RAMPS Electronics

Yes got that one ! With the Update kit , very helpfull people there but it still is not happening , avtrude stk 500 programer is not responding ,etc etc .Orderd a complete Arduino Uno R3 setup and hope this cures my woes !!by zurferjoe - RAMPS Electronics

Hi back ! To say Im having problems is an understatement ! But yes it still aint running . Bought the update kit ,now its a X5SA, which has the touchscreen and a better board etc . With the kit I also bought a USB attachment as the board didnot have one .I think its working , when I plug the computer cable in the usb socket the touch screen lights up . I then try to upload Arduino ,with the corby zurferjoe - RAMPS Electronics

Hi out there , I have a Tronxy X5S and its a pain ! The thing just seems to refuse to run !! I have installed the the Update kit Chitu board and touch screen etc also a USB conversion as the board does not have one ! Ive had enough of this buy and then find out bad backup back instructions etc etc ! Can I convert this disaster to run on an original Arduino Board and if which one ? Hi all , had a problem with my TX5S ,I run Simplify 3D software and it did not Support my model , contacted them and wham !! They send me the software update ! Now thats what I Call Service !! Thanks again Simplify 3D anybody Need the zip here it is ,good luck and happy printing . They also wrote how to install it . 1.Download and unzip the attached file . 2 Open Simplify 3D ,go to FILE>Imby zurferjoe - Firmware - mainstream and related support

Ok so as I understand it , the green blinking light is a defect Mosfet ,and its only an indicator that my Marlin is uploading to the mother board yes ? But as the mother board in not responding to the Tronxy X5S firmware I can safely assume its fried yes ? Can I convert to a real Marlin ? And then dont have to wait 29 to 49 days to get a new Tronxy mother board ,and I can get a real Marlin boardby zurferjoe - Firmware - Marlin

Yes I do ! I seem to have overcome most of my problems ,BUT , have noticed that when I Try to upload to the motherboard the green light does not flash ,the red light is permanetly on .Does this mean the board is defect ? Hope you can help , thank you Harryby zurferjoe - Firmware - Marlin

Hi there all , I have been playing with my Tronxy X5S , I say playing because up till now everybody says ,you cant be serious Trying to get that thing working ! My Other printer works fine BUT this one is challenging !! But I have just noticed after all this time that when I transfer the Marlin program to the ramps board that there is no green blinking light ! Hi all . I have a problem with the Marlin program , I download it the 1.1.8 and it seems normal ,a bit short on time but normal . But when I unzip it and the program opens the Marlin Icon is not there just a Attribution Card pic and ofcourse it does not open ! Any clues to what it could be ? Hope you can help . Hi everyone .Put together a Geeetech i3 Prusa clone ,its all together ,now I thought the easy bit ! Wrong , I cant get the Arduino to upload on to my Printer , it gets so far , the green down load is about 3/4 in , then it all goes orange and black lots of writng and saying def bla bla , any ideas ? : i have the right board in the Tools box , I have the right com , ist recognised both of These ,bby zurferjoe - Reprappers

Hi RR people , getting on with my Ford V8 manifold all looking good and then bam !! The Y axis has decided to move forward every layer everytime .I have reloaded my Simplify 3 D program just incase that was the Problem , but to no avail . Could it be the Arduino and the Marlin program ? Hope someone out there has the answer ,by zurferjoe - Look what I made!

Update on the update !! You will have to excuse the different colours in PLA , but this damn Project uses everything I chuck at it !! But it all fits and the end Project gets coverd in a Special paint , when I put the casting sand in it , which does not stick .by zurferjoe - Look what I made!

Hi all you 3D priters , heres my update on the V8 manifold casting boxes Im printing out on my much modified German Rep Rap Protus 3 . They are large casting boxes , altogether 18 pieces and this is a Picture of one Piece .Keep you up to date when I have cast the first Sand moulds !!by zurferjoe - Look what I made!

Hi all , if your into making model aircraft ,and dont want to make anymore egg cups etc !! Go to "3D Lab Print" and download a printing program of an authentic looking war birds and it flies !! Im doing it now ,enjoy ,all the best Harryby zurferjoe - Look what I made!

So everybody wants the manifolds !! But not in Carbon PLA !! So as suggested in this Forum make Patterns and then make sand forms and then cast them !! A lot of bloody work !! Hope it turns out as good as the 3 D Picture ! Will Keep you posted !by zurferjoe - Look what I made!

Hi fellow 3D ,ers, I have a German Rep Rap V Protos build platform X 205mm Y 210mm Z 140 , and thats my Problem Z axis I Need at least 160mm ,it is possible mechanicaly just Need to lengthen the X stop metal bracket to clear the Z movement going further than the G code 140mm .But how ?? I have been told it can be done , but not up till now how ! There is no physical stop on the Z axis to move hby zurferjoe - Look what I made!
