probing location is "correct" It sitting in the original place. Anet A8. Its probing where it should be. But. it do not reach the front of the bed. Hm.. Aso is thinking of the Cura machine setting. You can "tic" a box saying "bed center at 0" If I, as for now. have it un ticed. it starts in the (almost) middle. But if I tic the box in Cura. It starts in the front left corner of the bed..by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Tjena Bosse! I do run a PTEG. It seems to be run at gentle speeds. Say 30-45mm/s. I have also gentle retracton. I do print quite hot then most. 255C att nozzle. 85 bed. Fan at about 40% Gött mos!by SatorCodex - Reprappers
Hi! Welcome! Im fairly new my self.(to. 3d printing) Have been thinking for a few moth. Its really interning in many aspects. Im sure you will have fun. I distance between bed. is about 0.1mm. Use a normal A4 paper as a "shim" between the bed and the nozzle. You should feel the nozzle "scratching" the nozzle when moving it around between nozzle and bed. I print PLA with about 205C. bedby SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteobewan In configuration.h you can set the X and Y offset after homing Quote// Travel limits after homing #define X_MAX_POS 220 #define X_MIN_POS -33 #define Y_MAX_POS 220 #define Y_MIN_POS -10 #define Z_MAX_POS 230 #define Z_MIN_POS 0 I have tried to change those parameters. But, I get compiling error. due to the (fact?) that its out of the boundaries for the inductive sensor.by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Ty Dust! I Agree that it should be set in firmware. But I can only find offset for the probe. Not the nozzle. Obviously Im missing something? If I get it sorted in firmware. That would be best.. But I gave up..by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi. Ive installed Skynet and E3D with Bowden set up. But my prints do not start at the center of the bed. Id like it to do so.. I should be adjusted: x-20 y-10 Ive found out that its possible to do the offset in the start g-code. But, I haven't been able to do so. With skynet, homing is center to the bed. Quotehsbontop Made a three loop cylinder and printed with previous settings (bottom), with hotbed turned off (middle) and with PID (top). Clearly bang bang hotbed creates some artefacts even if the delta is low. Printed a single wall cube with PID as well, it came out with no artefacts and spot on in width. I'll have another go at the precious part. (Reason for not using PID was burned elecby SatorCodex - Printing
I did have a similar problem. After more time than I want on this problem. It turns out to be a "slight" overextrution problem.by SatorCodex - Printing
Yes. If you mean nozzle position relative to x0 y0 ? I can not in my life find that setting in firmware..by SatorCodex - Firmware - Marlin
Hi! I have installed skynet. marlin fork. Also installed a new bowden set up. So nozzle is not in the same position. Z probe offset is right on the middle of the bed. But the nozzle has moved 20mm to right in x axis( just in middle/front of the z-probe). And ca -10mm on Y axis. I can not find where I set the nozzle position. If I change probe position (x/y) It will try to probe the bed..oby SatorCodex - Firmware - Marlin
I will try to remember that. Still wondering why upload didn't work . Did finally connect to printer via OS X. Well, now it works anyway. (havet set it up yet. need to change some things. offset for e3d etc.. Another challenge.by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
good to hear! Did it improve ghosting too? I have overshooting in the corners. and some ghosting. Hope that improve tooby SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Ok.. Feel stupid. But hey ho, lets go! Got a comment on thingiverse.. "use middle button" DUH!!by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Ok, gave up.. don't understand the problem at all.. OSX is unix based as is Linux. Stuff like this just usually works.. Any.. Fired up the old and painfully slow pc. It did work well. Skynet is preconfigured with Arduino ect. But of coarse I still got problems.. Cant get in to the under menus with the buttons. I can get in to the main menu. Then I can't "right click" any ideas?by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Ok. Got it to work. Or not.. Progress anyway! Have some updates in thread underby SatorCodex - General
Intresting is that when I updated the original "L" firmware. That software was different than Arduino. In repiter Host. The board was Mega 2560.. Wtf?? This makes no sense to me at all..by SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
And if I select 16mhz board. Veryfining goes ok. But I get this when compile/uploading.. Arduino:1.8.1 (Mac OS X), Kort:"Sanguino, ATmega1284 or ATmega1284P (16 MHz)" Sketch uses 116124 bytes (89%) of program storage space. Maximum is 130048 bytes. Ok. Have progress! Had to update Arduino ide with support for sanguino etc.. Ok, past that. (finally!!) Ok have more noob problems. When compiling skynet 2.3.1. (What I understand is a version of marlin RC8. so hopefully someone here can help?) I get a error saying: I have no clue to what to do. But its interesting.. Learning this to. Eventually.. Quotedeckingman For info, my Core XY has a build area a tad under 400 x 400 and 740 in Z. The main frame is 600 x 600 x 1,000. I can print stuff like this and this and there are some other things on my Youtube channel. The bed weighs in at around 7kg (10mm thick aluminium topped with 6mm thick float glass) and is lifted by 3 screws driven by a single Nema 17 via a continuous belt. HI In a way to improve it, without building a new machine out of it. I yesterday replaced the belts and pulleys to teethed ones. Added a belt tensioner to X-axis to remove the pressure from the Z rods. Instead it put the pressure on the x-axis rods. As it should in the first place. Also replaced the Z-leadscrew, nuts. Im trying to dial in petg too. So far. 35mm/s. 235c bed 90c. Had warping problems earlier. But not sure if it was bed temp. Or fan lowered to 40%. That did the trick. Still stringing alot. blobs on the nozzle. Retract is 45mm at 60 mms. Any ideas?by SatorCodex - General
Hey! I like this. Its a real possibility to do good with a 3d printer. It should be ok to test! Don't buy a printer for just testing. Let us here help you! 0.6 mm walls should not be a a problem. 0.3 nozzle and to passes per wall. If one print carefully, There is possible to print smooth walls. QuoteDust real arduinos don’t have ch340 they use a ATmega16U2 as a serial over usb converter Only china clones use ch340 But I find it difficult to believe mac is having such issues.. Linux drivers for ch340 are good, and Mac was/is lunux under the hood. One solution might be to simply bypass the ch340... get yourself a usb/serial board (making sure its Ftdi, silabs, cp2102 or other chipseby SatorCodex - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi all! I have a thread in another place. But I might get more response here. So sorry if someone gets upset posting in general forum. First of all. Im a noob when it comes to Arduino. I have a Anet A8 with "autobedleveling" Running original firmware. Its crap. Its actually pretty much a limit switch.
