it is likely the cable is too long and does not provide enough current. what devices are you powering from the atmega?by jamesdanielv - General
is the clicking the gears slipping or the motor skipping. perhaps power is turned down a little too low? another reason is feed stock may be having a hard time going thru the nozzle. up your temp by 10 deg c. does it help? be sure that the temp is correct for thermisters. check thermister settings in firmware. if device has completely cooled it should show room temp about 20deg c when heater isby jamesdanielv - General
i'm not sure what the advantage to accuracy of the calibration print to store the data in eprom. the calibration settings will change with the time of day, temperature, humidity, thermal/mechanical fatigue of components. because we use cheaper materials that warp, change size during temp, humidity we came up with a calibrate per run. to reduce print start fails from adhesion to first layer. thisby jamesdanielv - General
the correct question is does it run a full version of python. there are python projects for tablets, but python does not currently run on all tablet designs, in full functionality. if it runs x86 windows or linux then yes python would work. currently the only universal support that i am aware is for those programs coded in java script and html5. there is a port of serial to android, and a possby jamesdanielv - General

can your glass plate separate and go into soapy water for a few hours? this will reduce the adhesiveness of the tape. normally you dont want pla in water, but that is just before it is extruded. wipe it dry after the soap soak. next print take a magazine page ripit out and set it on the glass plate and tape across it. it could warp a little if tape is not stretched across tightly, but it wouldby jamesdanielv - General
from what i see, this is my opinion as of today flow is not consistent. how much cooling does your pla get from cold end? for example is a fan pointed directly at cold end, before pla enters the hot region. this could be gunking up as pla can soften like gummy candy and plug up and not move. how well does your extrude extrude pla, and what is your retraction setting? bottom line pla does not wby jamesdanielv - General
why not try this?, it increases surface area that pressure is applied while keeping feed stocks shape it is for rostock ectruders, but it could be modifiedby jamesdanielv - General
have you tested the end stops individually to see if they work properly by using the M119 command. can you show us a video of what is going on, that way we can truly understand it. several people on this forum are willing to help! be sure the switches are wired up correctly!by jamesdanielv - General
you may need to redo the boot loader code to the board. if you have another arduino you could do arduino boot loader, or you could try bitbanging. if you dont know what that is it is best to use another arduino to program. read tutorial here. and here and here for 1284p and this info on reprap forumsby jamesdanielv - General

you will want to run a setup like what is mentioned here with a dsp controller, or software such as mach3, or emc. the smooth acceleration required for velocity requires precise control that the current generation of firmware and reprap software can not deliver. the software and firmware has improved dramatically but it is focused on belt driven systems for how it is optimized in performance. theby jamesdanielv - General
SPI init rate for SD initialization commands. Must be 5 (F_CPU/64) * or 6 (F_CPU/128). so in this case it may actually be a noise issue with cross talk. try to use shorter wires, and a common gnd. possibly shroud the entire cable with aluminum that is gnd? many modern designs incorporate noise reduction by changing every other or third wire data at a time, then latching the transfer. i don'tby jamesdanielv - General
Either settings are incorrect in firmware or settings need to be double checked In repetier host. Look for homing to be at max and print height to be the length of travel. Did you set repetier host to be a delta printer in print settings. Does it know you home to max? In firmware disable max software limits and make sure min limits in software are enabled. Make sure firmware has correct heigby jamesdanielv - General
you will probably need to look at the code and modify similar lines. this was likely an earlier version than what marlin is now, and it is possible . also i asked for an update to address the servo issue. i don't know if it has been implemented.by jamesdanielv - General
double check the wiring of the x axis. swap 2 outside wires. if it is a wiring issue this should address it. also you could have the limit switch wired to the wrong side, or not connected correctly. double check settings in firmware and wiring of motor and limit switch. also is limit switch on correct side? there could be several things going on here. someone on this forum will help you.by jamesdanielv - General

do you you want a wades style geared extruder or a mounted gear box? are you just looking for how to mount it. wades geared also you would need to change the steps per mm in firmware.by jamesdanielv - General
i'm more for a mount that is removable. Velcro could generate a massive static charge, so be careful. supper glue likely will work but the traces on the board could be pulled off if trying to remove board. If you do not want to create a mount then 2 side sticky tape is a good way to go. make sure that it is not attached to a metal surface, as there is a chance of short.by jamesdanielv - General
is it possible the heated bed thermister is not installed correctly or shorted out? are you using the correct thermister table in firmware? have you tried to change which ad channel your plugged into? for example Nozzle may use T0 thermister for heated bed is not necessarily T1. you may want to swap thermister connections to see if problem switched to nozzle thermister. this will tell you if thby jamesdanielv - General
your wobble in the gear will increase because now load for support is all on the gear. this might make extrusion not work properly when the motor transfers the load from the little gear to the big one. gears might skip.by jamesdanielv - General
is it a high pitch hum, and what feedrate are you trying to move it at? my guess it that z axis speed is set higher than it should be or your speed in mm/s and mm/m are off. try 180mm/m or 3mm/s on z axis. you can also change the max feedrate in firmware.by jamesdanielv - General
i use hexagon infill with abs and high temps and i usually build a wall right into the stl that is the same height as the part but 3mm farther. you also could use skirt feature.by jamesdanielv - General
this issue is more of a cooling issue and top layers issue. the pla is hot enough when it exists it sags. now that the top layer of pla is closer together it takes longer to cool. try setting extrusion where it was for that build that has under infill but is otherwise ok, and then reduce nozzle size by 0.05mm, reduce your pla temp by up to 15deg c in 7.5 deg increments (do 2 builds), and increby jamesdanielv - General
CURA seems to be the way to go, have you thought about changing wall heights and feedstock settings to reflect actual size. for example 3mm is usually undersized slightly. you could try your luck with slic3r, kisslicer, skienforge has a lot of setting and is difficult for a new user to master. dare i include it as another option replicatorg but it is makerbot specificby jamesdanielv - General
