Any chance for a Prusa Mendel kit in the future? I'm sure it would be cheaper to print on a commercial machine.by MrJohn - General
On your ebay listing it looks like you ship the frame built. This that the case? Then throw in the electronics for the buyer to install?by MrJohn - General

I've been contacting Fred at botmill about my order. Last week I was told it would ship with the next batch and ship this week. On Monday I sent another e-mail checking my order and Tuesday morning got a response that my motors where delaying my order because they were coming from "the far east" and Chinese New Year delayed botmill from receiving them. I told them that I was fine with whateverby MrJohn - General
Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try that. Also, I've been doing some searches on botmill and got their address.(20283 State Road 7 Ste 400 Boca Raton, FL 33498) Then I searched that address and found dozens of other businesses in the same suite. I called a law office in the same suite and spoke to the secretary. She does know who they are there and she does see people come in and man that oby MrJohn - General
I've heard some chatter that the Prusa Mendel does not print as well as the orginal Mendel. True/False? Opinions?by MrJohn - General Mendel Topics
Yes, I'm overwhelmed with the support my project is receiving. About the work, I am starting to wonder that same thing myself. I have been clear in my timetable to deliver on the rewards. I'll use the updates section of the project to log my project's progress. No one could get mad that their random object from thingiverse.com isn't printed when my machine is not working. I've order the Axis kit. It's supposed to ship this week. I hope all goes well.by MrJohn - General
Looks good, I have s few questions. What size motors does the Prusa require? Can standard Mendel hardware kits be used to build the Prusa Mendel? Can the bushing be printed from PLA or does ABS work better?by MrJohn - General Mendel Topics
I have a full Mendel kit for $900 built, tested and shipped. Only catch is that I will have to do all the leg work for you so it might take some time to ship. I will keep you completely informed with pictures and video throughout the process. Let me know if you're interested.by MrJohn - Wanted
I have several items to offer. I am selling the Mendel or Prusa Mendel plastic parts for a $100 pledge on my kickstarter.com project (Link-) That's a lot lower than I've seen on eBay. The only catch is (isn't there always) that I am waiting shipment on my mendel kit and still need to build and configure it. But if you're willing to wait, it's a good deal. Let me know if your'e interested.by MrJohn - Wanted
I am selling a fully built mendel on my kickstarter.com page for a $900 pledge. (Link-) I will build it, test it, disassemble it for shipping (which is free). The catch, is that it will take some lead time so that I can gather the parts and build it. Let me know if you're interested.by MrJohn - For Sale
I've been brainstorming the requirements for the contest and I think we could reduce non-rep parts with printed linkage. The first thing that came to mind was the belt for the z axis. I think it could be replaced by a mechianial linkage and cog, like a train's wheel. Could someone that already has a reprap start playing with this concept? Thoughts? Ideas? I also have an idea to replace some of tby MrJohn - Kartik M. Gada Humanitarian Innovation Prize
I have ordered my kit and planning on selling the Mendel parts cheap. I understand the supply and demand side of this and I think I will allow the bidders to set their own price. It's just like any other tech, if you want it first you usually pay more. So after a couple of auctions I'll know my base price and set a "Buy it now price" a little lower than that base. I imagine that the market will eby MrJohn - General
I think the parts should be much cheaper. The heart of the project is supposed to gain wealth from the items you can print other than the printer parts. If you want to go with the bees and flowers scenario, it's like the bees selling the pollen to the highest bidding flower while still keeping the honey they make.by MrJohn - General
I am hosting a project at Kickstarter.com (http://kck.st/f7Flc1) if you pledge at the $1500 level I will build one for you and shipping will be included.by MrJohn - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
