Hallucinogenic VAWT Windmill Thingy and Pantograph - 8 years ago
Hi all, If you search online for " amazing wind sculpture " you get very interesting images. And i want to make a Pantogram, which can draw large stencils using the 3d printer nozzle as a guide for drawing. The wind turbine is perhaps difficult, because all the blades are synchronized, which means that they have a kind of cogs inside them which keeps them all in step. Say if you made oneby skynetprinter - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)

I want to print some fonts as piercings in a wall, except letters like N in negative form have \| which is unsupported, So i checked out military stencil fonts, except they aren't printable either, Are there any fonts that can print upright as a negative of a wall?by skynetprinter - General

The CGAL "tree" where it adds different bits of geometry is in fact a tree. I believe that it can be multithreaded because at first they combine the leaf elements and then afterwards, the trunk... So the first combinations could be done on 4 processors, and afterwards it could be narrowed to one on the last... I need to make chains of cubes end to end and i have managed to do it with recursion but it crashes above 400 recursions and loops can do 2000 iterations at least so i need to use a loop... i think i have to use multimatrix inside a loop :/ dont know how. am working on it. Every next cube has to have the previous cube's rotation and position, but i need to translate it and rotate it by N angle.by skynetprinter - OpenSCAD

Ah merci j'ai aussi découvert HGT2STL un programme assez performant pour pc sur thingiverse et apres il faut juste avoir les cartes heightmap de france. Ah merci pour les astuces j'ai installé le OpenSCAD récent et il est ok pour un PNG 1024 mais apres le 2048 a dit : this program has generated a runtime termination exception and has to close. J'aimerai faire des cartes de mes environs et aussi des alpes en relief mais je ne sais pas la source des heightmap de relief HD en France? et il y a une programme qui s'appelle OmNomNom Creator sur Mac qui fait des stl 3d avec des images 2d, est ce que quelqun avec un Mac pourrait editer un modele avec omnomnom si on arrive avoir des reliefs précis de la France?by skynetprinter - RepRap Groupe d'Utilisateurs Francophone

ah ok je ne sais pas, je fais du 120 en 2 minute et 5 7 minutes avec une vitre dessus. j ai branché le -24 sur la carte du reprap et je pense le PMW il vient en -24 et le plus il va sur le hotbed avec une fusible, je te dirais si un jour ça fond la reprapby skynetprinter - RepRap Groupe d'Utilisateurs Francophone

j ai acheter une alim 24v sur ebay a 25 euros pour reprap, j ai mis le moins 24 acote du -12 sur mon megaramps carte et le +24 sur le hotbed avec un fusible de 7.5 et je l ai tourné a 28v avec le potentiometre, il a augmenter de 110w at 400watt avec la loi de la resistance et il chauffe tres vite. a voir la question a ce sujet si tu recherche skynetprinter dans les forums, c est dans general probby skynetprinter - RepRap Groupe d'Utilisateurs Francophone
mathematical, fractal, parametric, isosurface STL files online? - 8 years ago
There are not very many STL files online for models of the kind shown in the image. there are some fractals on Thingiverse but not many parametric maths and curved architecture type things. Can someone recommend some websites with similar STL's? Is it not practical to print such things using a reprap? it looks like it's probably powder bed printing.by skynetprinter - General

I bought one. Ye sit's true it's probably not legal in most countries. the plate has to be reflective so that's not practical with 3d printing. I dont know why they have plexiglass ones, abs is more pliable.by skynetprinter - Printing

Ma plaque d'immatriculation est tombée merci peugeot ou merci le voyou qui m'a demandé ce que je regardais dans mon parking, a qui j'ai dit "shh,arrete". vous pouvez expliquer pourquoi? vous avez déja toute le kit électronique? j en aurait mis 4 petites, comme 4x 200 par exemple. vaut mieux te lancer dans le PET et le PETG pcq abs sa va etre louche a cette tailla la. PET cest le noiveau star de la reprap. isole ta plaque avec mousse dessous et met alu dessus de 1 mm pour dissiper la chaleur et un verre dessus.by skynetprinter - RepRap Groupe d'Utilisateurs Francophone

jai mis un 24v pour 20 euros, regler a 28v, il peut fournir 400 watt c est 4 fois plus qu avant. j'ai mis le +24 sur le heatbed avec fusible 7.5 voiture et le moins touchant le -12 qui rentre dans le ramps. OK so the Glass Fibre is good and bad. It's Bad because my friend put toooo much catalyst, it warped totally when it dried too fast in like 2-3 hours, getting quite hot, the ends bent up by 5-10 mm so it's concave. I printed on it, awesome, and then i discovered there is a problem... it bends according to heat, so when the bed is hot, the printbed is about 3mm higher than when it's cold, so it'by skynetprinter - Reprappers

Had a go with glass fibre. it's not dry yet and it's still a bit flexible, i hope i put enough fibre in. if you have a wood one, and coat it in carbon fibre and epoxy, it would be stronger than aluminium. just have to place the fibers on both sides.by skynetprinter - Reprappers

Thanks for the motivation, here is a solution: I took a mirror, waxed it with a candle, laid the old acrylic "tram?" on the wax, poured the molten wax around the border, cut out the outline using a rasor while the wax was warm and flexible for 5 minutes and took out the old tram. My friend has 1 litre of epoxy resin from work for 2 euros and lots of glass fibre so i think we will be having a mby skynetprinter - Reprappers

My reprap came with a 21 x 28 x 0.4 cm sheet of aluminium so i will machine that, and then i just need a thin copper sheet to place under the glass bed to tranfer heat outwards from the centre of the heatbed. mission.by skynetprinter - Reprappers
