Hi all, I'm trying to send commands to my printer using a simple serial terminal program that I wrote (I've used it for other arduino projects and know that it works fine), but I'm having some problems... when I try to send a command (e.g. "G1 X100" to move the printer to X=100mm, the actual string that I send is "G1 X100\n\r"), it doesn't do anything, but the LED on my board flashes to sby shaggers - RepRap Host
It'd be interesting to apply a better system for the evolution of RepRap... Some sort of scoring system for print speed, print accuracy, print success rate, power consumption, print size; A way of relating these scores to the "genetics" of the machine (by recording initial frame, extruder, electronics), the success of alterations (by recording the improvement/reduction of each score for eachby shaggers - Robots!
Hi all, I've just made the decision to get a 3D printer. To keep the cost down, I definitely want to build my own printer, but I'm not sure about all the hassle of figuring out exactly what parts I need, so I thought that buying a complete kit was the most sensible option(minus the printed parts, which I can get an acquaintance to produce for me).
