In case anyone is interested, I also started a discussion about this, here: There were a couple replies and a lot more information was provided as a result, but still no solution. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. In the mean while I might try marlin just to see if it gets me any further. Thanks.by cream - RepRap Host
So I have been working on a problem that i just can not seem to figure out. Still in the building stages of my delta printer, and when I home the printer I am getting some strange behavior. The carts move to the top and stop at the end stops as normal, they back off from the stops and do the recheck as they should, but then on the second check and back off. However, after that, there is a stby cream - RepRap Host
So I think I have it figured out. Once i placed the endstops on the max pins (which was quite an ordeal, I had to steal some connectors off of some fans i have), it seems to work now. I still have to hook everything back up to the real printer and test again. But things are looking better. Which leads me to a new question. Is there any way in configuration.h or in the host software to let tby cream - Delta Machines
Couple things to add: 16AWG was too thick for the terminals, needed to use 18AWG... I am using the M119 Gcode command in repetier host to test the signals of the end stops and I am infact getting the correct H and L readings for when the switches are either pressed or not. So i am really starting to think i have a firmware or software problem. Using R-Host for mac. I will probably try to bby cream - Delta Machines
Hello everyone, I am having a bit of trouble getting my end stops to work under repetier firmware and I am starting to run out of ideas. Here is what I have: Delta printer setup of my own relative design. No point in mentioning that other than to let you know its not a kit. I have an azteeg X3 Pro for the controller. Steppers connected (what seems to be properly) to the X Y Z motor output.by cream - Delta Machines
Quote3dhubs You can always have a look at 3D Hubs. We should have quite some locals in Chicago that would be able to print the parts for you: http://www.3dhubs.com/3dprint?hf=Chicago%2C%20IL%2C%20USA&hf=41.8781136&hf=-87.62979819999998&hf=250 Please let me know if there's anything can help you with. Hello everyone, I am very close to the end of my design for a customized delta printer, and just figured out that my original source for printing parts will not work as they have a time limit for the machine use. I am creating a larger build machine, so I have some large parts that might take some time to print. Definitely longer than the time limits they have in place. Agreed, once I read ralphs post the bulb went on. I really should have thought of that myself. Thick glass is typically used more for tables and such, and would not have a Low-E coating. Plus, i just heard back from the guy, and they are in fact panes comprised of 2 sheets of glass. Oh well, back to searching.by cream - General
Dang, you're right. I didn't even think about the fact that the thickness is most likely based on two pieces of glass framed together. I guess I will contact them to find out, but it if thats the case, then probably not worth it. Thanksby cream - General

So it begins. I have been doing a lot of reading over the past month and I think i am ready to start sourcing parts for my build. As part of that i am trying to get as many things cheap, or free, as possible. If i act quickly, i can grab a few large, thick 3/4" sheets of Low-E glass for free. I plan on building a delta and I like that they are large sheets that I will be able to cut into a heby cream - General
