Yes, everything I ordered from BfB arrived complete and in very good quality. It took three weeks (within Europe) whic I expected for this kind of custom made mini series of parts.by matt - General
Oh, I nver saw an Objet machine, not ebn on a photo or video. Can you give any details? Speed, quality, pricing of machine and material, availability?by matt - Reprappers
Funny thing is, that everything you can scan with milk can also be printed with the RepRap (the opposite is not true).by matt - General
If you have a complete GCode interpreter, you can do counter-like constructs, for example: but I doubt very much that the Arduino SW has a full GCode interpreter. Instead, you will have to repeat the same GCode sequences with offset coordinates.by matt - RepRap Host
No chance. The magnetic tape only works while moving. Magnetism is only picked up by the coil (reader head) if the polarisation *changes*. So below a certain speed, your signal will be lost entirely in the elektronic noise. Get an old inkjet printer instead and remove the "gray" looking optical band that is tied along the printhead together with the optical sensor. This is used to trigger the noby matt - Mechanics
I apologize for bursting in here and shouting out statements ;-), but I believe I found the reason why my RepRap is still not producing parts. Maybe this post helps the one or other reader who is stuck in the middle, just like me. I am a perfectionist. If I build something, I want the result to be reliable, repeatable, and perfect (a very German way to approach a project, I admit). But RepRapby matt - General
sid: Danke.

Everything can be copied easily. One way to prevent copying is adding value, making it unattractive to reverse engineer the original. For example, you don't just sell a clothes hanger that anyone can copy, but you will mount it for the buyer. I know that there is no market for that, but it should illustrate what I mean by added value. Anything that we can do on a RepRap, someone else can do fby matt - General
Where are you located? I am in Germany, so if you are sitting anywheare across a pond, shipping will be far more. Otherwise, I am interested (reprap at matthiasm dotcom)by matt - For Sale

Ru: I don't feel offended at all. Having a page with that information is surely a good thing. It must contain information, why an idea was abandoned though (just like you did), or it will be brought up even more often ;-) Mattby matt - Paste Extrusion Working Group

About filling the voids for making overhangs: it would be quite easy to hang a fab@home head next to the RepRap head. Fill the fab head with sugar coating and build layer by layer, as usual. Fill the gaps with the sugar. They will harden and you can build ABS right on top of it. When you are done, hold the model under water. The sugar will dissolve (if the ABS dissolves as well, you are in trouby matt - Paste Extrusion Working Group
