i'm not sure if we really need all of it. i think that number there has alot of padding with room for growth, etc. unless you have a weird situation, why not just use a pc power supply?by ZachHoeken - General
wow! it seems like there is quite a bit of excitement about kits. i know it am. let me just say this: RepRap will be providing kits one way or another. Either as an official thing done under the project or as a side thing I do personally, they will be available =)by ZachHoeken - General
thats a good idea nathan. infact, i think reprap 'darwin' which is v1.0 actually uses a belt/pulley system to move the xy assembly. i really like the idea of being able to print the drive/positioning system. that would REALLY make the thing more self-replicating.by ZachHoeken - General
fantastic. i guess i should mix up the rest then, huh?by ZachHoeken - General
okay, i bought a pound of powered ferric chloride from an electronics supplier. what is the best way to store it? last time i got it in liquid form. can i just mix it with the right amount of water and store it?by ZachHoeken - General
ah! i see what you're saying. i'll do toner transfer, drill alignment holes, transfer again, then etch! its a good thing erasing bad toner transfers is that you're only a solvent away from a fresh board.by ZachHoeken - General
i'm failing pretty badly at doing 2 sided boards with toner transfer. the alignment is killing me. i would love to have a 1 sided board that i can just print and drill... super easy. anyway, i'm basically a novice at this, so i'm going to give it a try tomorrow... who knows!by ZachHoeken - General
