Hi.
I sell one of my Delta printers.
It's a 3DR simple-based printer, with a printing area of about 208mm tall and 185mm diameter.
The electronics are Arduino Mega - Ramps 1.4 - A4988 Stepsticks
I've made a lot of improvements to the original JohnSL's design:
-Changed from spectra line to GT2 belts and pulleys (20 teeth). I also changed the carriages and efector to have bigger arm-to-arm dis

The last days i've seen a lot of Aliexpress listed at ridiculously low prices. If you read the item descriptions, you will usually find something like: "this listing is only orientative, please contact seller to request a quote".
Aliexpress should take measures about that practice.

I tried an inductive NO proximity sensor switch. Those switches work like the other endstops. If using a Ramps, just plug it at the Zmin endstop connector. You don´t need any extra code.
The sensor I have is triggeredl from a max. distance of about 4mm. It was very cheap (around 7$). It was listed on e-bay as "capacitive sensor", but it's inductive (chinese sellers... you know...)

A few thoughts after having printed a handful of things on the Simple Delta: It makes a fair amount of noise when moving the print head around, much noisier than my RRP Mendel or Printrbot Simple was. I think the noise is coming from the LM8UU linear bearings, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yeah, LM8UUs are noisy, specially the cheap ones. Replace them wit

I designed a plastic spool holder for the 3DR Simple. It works great in conjunction with:.
Just place it in the upper frame.

Take a look at the Aluhotend V5.
I only print 1.75mm PLA. I've been using a V4 Aluhotend for almost a year without issues.
And it's cheap:

Yes, I built a Rostock abourt a year ago and tried using Spectra line. The problem was that the spools wheren't perfectly round, so I changed to GT2 belts. I tried again when I built the 3Dr simple. My printed spools had a roundness deviation of about 0.03mm and I wasn't comfortable not having everything perfectly tuned, so I decided to convert it to GT2-based. I think that If you can print per

I also use an arm-to-arm distance different from the original.
Attached you have my modified carriage and effector.
Hope you find them useful.

1. I redesigned the carriages and made some plastic pieces to transform the fishing line idlers into belt idlers. I aldo use an efector designed by me.
2. I dont have vibration problems.

I finished my modified 3DR-Simple.
I placed the electronics an power supply under the base and replaced the spectra fishing line with GT2 belts.
The printed LM8UU bearings are fantastic and make the printer very very quiet.
Here you have a video in action:
Thank you JohnSL for your work!

Hi.
I've finished building my 3DR-Simple and it works great!. I used printed LM8UU-style linear bearings and it's almost noiseless. My Rostock is very noisy in comparison.
I ended using traxxas joints because the magnetic joints seemed too weak (may be I should use stronger magnets).
I'll publish some photos soon.
I've also uploaded my spool holder to thingiverse:

Funkymonk,
Does it straddle the top inside the triangle? The end result being filament management similar to the original 3DR?
Yes, it fits inside the inner triangle, resulting as the original 3DR system.

HI, Lars.
I have the same problem than Lesani. Installing the version you posted doesn't solves the problem.
