Hi since I pwr'd elsewhere I may add, that it's nothing but the two subforums in french and german that are to be fixed. Nothing too bad. And nothing more is to be reverted (and nothing will get lost) Not if done correctly that is You cannot loose much there, since the posts are already useless. 'sidby sid - General
Hi Simon, is any old version of the sql available (that is, do you have any recent backup) ? The problem there is mostly not what SQL does, but what php has done before. I guess you've updated via php-scripts, didn't you. As I noted in the report, adding a htmlencode to the message before it is written somewhere helps not to loose anything almost everytime; beyond that further steps are to be tby sid - Administration, Announcements, Policy
Hi there, somehow all nonenglish characters are not allowed anymore; even worse the rest of the posting isn't shown anymore. Hopefully it's just a decoding problem and the database is still in complete. Yesterdays hint on this subject: And today the german subforum is almost useless too. If you need any help with that, just drop me a line, made the same mistake once, I think I can fix it (faby sid - Administration, Announcements, Policy

Hi Armin, check if you connected the endstops properly (min endstop Motor side ) also check if you didn't connected the 3pin connector the wrong way. I'm unsure what firmware you have; so make sure you have the proper settings what is actually stopping the machine (default endstop setting open or close..) you may wnat to do a forumsearch on endstops, there were several threads regardings those.by sid - RepRap Host

depends on the lock But I'm pretty sure that it wont work for at least 60% of the locks. If your lock isn't greased very well a plastic key may not be strong enough to move it. If you have a new(er) lock a printed key may not be precise enough to release the pins. If you have some sort of high security lock; than you wont be able to replicate all necessary details (even rfid chips are found inby sid - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
Ups, that wasn't even close *gg* sorry nevertheless a good point to start assuming 15x15od inches for around 40lbs a (euro)palett is 120 x 80 cm so around six spools per layer. Assuming 3 layers (roughly 120x120x80 cm) that'd be 18 spools so 720lbs or around 360kg. Not too much material per palett I'd say 'sidby sid - General
Forrest, didn't you just ordered a 50kg spool? What's it's dimension (that way we could estimate how many of these would fit on a palett. I doubt that anybody wants to have a bigger spool than that laying around since it's no fun to lift a bigger spool of filament from the palett at all 'sidby sid - General
there are pretty good drawer rails, most likely those for full opening the drawer, or in somewhat heftier size for sliding doors. unfortunately those are not cheap; around 40 Euros per pair. To be on the safe side you'll need 4 per axis So look twice. Sometimes there are linear slides at ebay for ... well ...yes cheap'ish. And if you're lucky enough cheaper than 4 per axis of really good drawerby sid - Mechanics

I love vBulletin I must admit and I am what you would call an experienced administrator I'd say. But it's unfortunately not cheap, so that's the downside. I know how to convert almost any sql database to a vBulletin readable too. Although I'm pretty sure there IS a script that does convert from phorum to vBulletin already (I think I've read something about phorum on vborg can't remember) In facby sid - Administration, Announcements, Policy
or just transfer this one into a phpbb forum, since phpbb is free and pretty well covered with multiple add-ons. As I mentioned earlier a pricey but very effective forum software is vbulletin since it offers a lot of useful hacks (much more than phpbb) to provide all sorts of addons like different download databases for parts to print for example. Hi Bob, since the original McWire was meant being a mini cnc mill I see no reason why there should be a problem. Aluminium should be okay, only downside here is that it's thicker and heavier than the acrylic, so you may need to choose the motors wisely, and you'll loose some space for the z-axis so you may need to take a (fractional) longer piece of pipe there Kcam and Mach3 I don't know, butby sid - General
At this very moment BfB is taking orders for nothing but filament. So I guess it's waiting. hoang, you can etch the boards yourself if you didn't want to wait you'll find all necessary files linked here: Every board you'll need is linked from there and has at least two links you'll need to look at so read carefully! Quotesid, you sure about that? Backlash doesn't add up with with multiple movements, it's just always off 0.02 mm or less in the above example; the only question is which way it's off, which would be determined by the last direction travelled. If it's adding up, you've got a slipping coupling somewhere. You're right Wade, sorry, I messed up "ignoring" with "loosing" steps. but asymmetrical backlby sid - RepRap Host
Well if you reverse the direction just once you're right chris, but when you reverse a direction multiple times in one layer it may leed to a visible reduction of target size. Let's say a zigzag infill pattern on a large object reversing 50 times you'll loose 1mm. Many objects can have 50 infill lines per layer, so this may be a good idea to have antibacklashing options implemented in the host;by sid - RepRap Host

Well, paint my 100Euro mouse and than dip it in water to remove the paint ... let me think Most parts I like to have scanned are not paintable for various reasons, so that is no option in most cases.
