Glock was the first arms company to manufacture thermoplastic frames, grips and receiver parts for semiautomatic pistols, which came to America from Austria in 1982. some rifles, like my Marlin 22 used nylon for the rifle stock (butt) in the 1970's. Glass filled nylon is the material Glocks are made of. If you used this material to replace the metal parts of, say a Glock 19, it might not blow upby 3DMD - General
Hi, Kapton is the brand name for DuPont, the inventor and patent holder. . 3M sells Polyimide tape under the 3M brand along with Scotch brand tape. I got a roll of this "200mm X100ft Kapton Tape" for about $25 on eBay and before that payed like $10 for 50mm x 100ft Polyimide tape (search eBay) I paid almost twice that for a roll of 1/2" by 33yrd double sided real DuPont Kapton tape. I use the 8825 on my z axis at 1/32 and the other three axis have the 4988 at 1/16. The jumper settings remain the same, all closed. Go to digikey and and download the datasheet. So yes, itaysp your original assumption was theoretically correct. Even so, Traumflug is right, you're going to have to recalibrate it.by 3DMD - RAMPS Electronics
Since your steppers work with the test code, you should open configuration.h, (in Marlin) there are 6 lines for inverting each endstop. Set the x, y & z minimum endstops to true. You may also have to turn off software endstops in nearby code. Once you've installed actual endstops you have to set invert to false. I don't recall if sprinter file is exactly the same, but the idea is, works withby 3DMD - RAMPS Electronics
lowres, I don't know if this is related but I have had 2 of the 8825's on my Z axis (Makerfarm prusa i2, RAMPS 1.4, 12V) burn out within a few weeks. The first I ordered from Amazon. com, the second from eBay dealer from China. I am on my third which I purchased directly from Pololu. Comparing all three, they are clearly different. The eBay version is not a true 4-layer board and the traces actuby 3DMD - RAMPS Electronics
I'm just trying to calm the hype and propoganda - the more attention this subject gets, the more likely our governments will be swayed to regulate what we manufacture on 3D printers. Irresponsible and uninformed mass media is leading us to anti-3D printing legislation: So it's easy to print up shotgun shells with a 3D printer? The reasoning and conclusions of this piece are dangerously distorby 3DMD - General
OK, so why wouldn't you make guns and ammo on a CNC with real metal? I mean, Google it up, people have been milling their own firearms for years. So the whole hype and media frenzy is pretty much moot unless you're like most Americans who love pointless controversy. You don't even need a printer or a mill to make black powder guns, which don't have to be registered here in Virginia, not sure abouby 3DMD - General
I just got 1/4" ACME lead screw here. 1/4" Leadscrew I used the poly (HDPE I think) 1/4" tubing that's sold in home improvement stores for hooking up refrigerator ice makers to the home water supply. It's much firmer than PVC aquarium tubing and fits like a glove! I first tried heating the tubing with a rework blower, but it becomes too soft to "thread". Using tools tends to destroy the tubing.by 3DMD - General

I found this on MSDN: Apparently Windows Vista and later OS versions use the .STL extension for the Certificate Trust List (CTL). I'm running Windows Vista sp2 and Chrome Browser on an Hp Laptop. The solutions I've found involve modifying the registry and I'm not an expert there. Dragging the link to the desktop creates a shortcut to the page or the "invalid" certificate. I bought a similar board on Amazon. I contacted the Arduino team directly by email. I sent them my order details and photos. They were very appreciative. I suggest everyone who got this "DESIGN IN ITALY" Counterfeit do the same. Just go to the Arduino Site and contact the team by email. The vendor was Newsiteby 3DMD - RAMPS Electronics
I am building a Mendel Prusa, my first ever 3D printer build. I've decided to use push connectors for the motor to stepper board which are polarized and have a latch. Digikey links:by 3DMD - Controllers
