Hi, if I understand well we could use an enlarger lens instead of a ftheta, with a pre-distortion of slices to be projected ( or with some realtime triginometric calculation performed by a microprocessor driving a galvo via a d/a converter). This leads to a question: what focal do we need to scan, say, a 300x300 mm area? As I understand, the more you approach external borders the bigger distortiby pbisiac - Controllers
Problems extruding ABS - 12 years ago
Hi all, After some dozens of pieces printed with PLA I started working with abs. Apart from warping and leveling problems, quite common, my extruder continously jams, gears turns but filament doesnt get pushed up to hot end. If I try to manually force filament hot end "blobs out" some plastic and then gears start to work again...for 30 seconds. So I am not sure if I have an extrusor or/and an hotby pbisiac - Ormerod
Heated bed improvements ? - 12 years ago
Hi all, Ormerod heated bed, in my opinion after 1 month of usage, is perfectible. Some ideas: 1) plywood (or mdf ?) is not very rigid and stable, I would prefer something like aluminium and/or plexyglas for bed insulator 2) to isolate lower layer (aluminium and/or plexyglas) from heated bed why don't use a sheet of corkboard instead of cardboard ? Much more insulating, compact and stable in myby pbisiac - Ormerod

Penso che il problema stia nel fatto che l asse z sforza il motore pp molto + dell estrusore....probabilmente ogni tanto il motore non riesce a sollevare l asse z ( da indagare il perché) e quindi l ingranaggio fissato direttamente sull alberino del motore viene sollecitato troppo e la chiave si deforma....ora è ' abbastanza lasco...confermo che è' di ABS, non credo vada bene, almeno per quelloby pbisiac - Discussioni generali - NO PROBLEMI DELLA STAMPANTE

Ciao a tutti, sto usando da un me setto una reprappro ormerod RS. E ' divertente, ma già' dopo un mese e una ventina di stampe comincia a mostrare i suoi limiti. In particolare, la coppia di ingranaggi che muove la barra filettata del l'asse z sta diventando lasca, e mi sa che gli ingranaggi della' estrusore fra poco li seguiranno. La domanda e': costa molto e si trova qualcuno che ti rifà gli inby pbisiac - Discussioni generali - NO PROBLEMI DELLA STAMPANTE
