I have inspected the filament diameter and i found that it jumps from 1.70 to 1.76 so i bet this is it. Will have to buy different one next time. Could this be problem of some sort of looseness? I'm kinda curious about it but i'm not able to try different filament to test it on... at least in this week.by AFK-er - Printing
I was trying to print mendel max1.5 parts and i started with easy ones but i have come acros a problem. All those prints have stripes on them. Ones are bigger other are smaller and every stripe is in the different place on different part. I'm not sure what causes that but i would like to fix it somehow. I'm using slic3r. Printing in PLA 1.75. And i'm printing on my own project of delta printer. Tby AFK-er - Printing
All my travel moves are set to 150mm/s and i think thats enough. There is no such option in slic3r sadly or am I missing something? What slicing program are you using? I might try something new if it would help.by AFK-er - Printing
I totally forgt about this option. When i turned it on it seems better but instead of big blob there is a little hole and a small blob. Is there any solutions?by AFK-er - Printing
I'm playing a lot with my delta printer nowdays but i can't manage to get my layer changing place to look great. It always looks terrible and destroy overall print looks. Is there any possible way to get rid of it? I'm using Slic3r 1.1.7.23 with 3-3.5mm retraction on 40mm/s speed and there are no strings between prints. And my extruder is bowden one. Can anyone help me? Some photos of this uglyby AFK-er - Printing
Yeah i know but still there are some AZSMZ mini users that need some help.by AFK-er - Controllers
There was nothing like this on the forum so i thought it might be helpful for new AZSMZ mini board users. Feel free to ask anything about this board here, share your experience, setups, config files, etc. help each other as well if you can. Here is my AZSMZ mini controlling my own delta printer: It's under the heatbed so i had to unscrew it.by AFK-er - Controllers
As the title... What is the best print cooling fan mount or way to cool my print on delta machine? I had some hard time with small prints because of this and i would love to cool my print but i wonder what way to do it is the best.... can you help me please?by AFK-er - Printing
I have bought AZSMZ mini board and managed it to work properly with my Delta 3d printer setup But i am curious about RepRapDiscount Smart Controller. Can someone tell me if it's possible to connect RepRapDiscount Smart Controller to AZSMZ mini? If yes could someone describe how to do it? I love you cxandy. You have added a post in a right time because my old board burned and i'm going to get another one. Thank you soooooooooo muchby AFK-er - Controllers
Thank you for your reply. Well This SUNBEAM is waaaaay to expensive. WOW so many boards... I'm sooo confused now Well after looking here i think i will try to find AZSMZ and thank you for advertising cxandy's post i found there what i neededby AFK-er - Controllers
Hello. My old Arduino MEGA 2560 have burned along with 5 StepStick A4988 because of voltage stabilizer on Arduino board. And my question to you is.... What board shoud i buy now? and another question is.... What power supply should i get to recomended board? And please tell my why should i get this board and power supply because i just don't know what board is great nor i don't know if i should gby AFK-er - Controllers
I've bought heat bed and i was printing a lot with it but when i thought that everything is ok another problem occured. How is it possible to print the perfect small cylinder? like 8mm or even smaller? When i try to print that kind of thing it just look bad and it is not how it should be. Has anyone here was working with such problem? I'm printing with PLA. Everything is printing well but not cylby AFK-er - Printing
Thanks for your reply. I have bought heat bead and i'm waiting for my order. And i have leveled my bed and i even did auto bed leveling probe. I'm using painter's tape on my glass but i thing that it's just related to not having heat bed so thank you all for help.by AFK-er - Printing
Thank you for your reply. I'm using Rep Rap Rostock. My first layer stick to the bed very well but when the print goes higher on bigger parts edges are just lifting. So it's impossible to print PLA properly without heat bed? And is it posible to put 26' glass on 20' heat bed? Would it work normally? And i have seen something about print cooling fan. Would it prefent my corners from lifting withouby AFK-er - Printing
I was looking arount the forum but i think that i need to make my own post here.I don't have heating bed and I'm printing 1.75 PLA. When the print goes higher every corner is wrapping and in the middle of the print it goes up everywhere end just comes off the glass. What are your ways to deal with this? I'm very curious because i would love to print some bigger parts for another 3d printer but i'by AFK-er - Printing
I was repairing my Rostock and tweaking with settings a bit and it's ready for printing my Griffin parts. But i'm such a wierdo... I can't choose any PLA colour to match silver v-slots... Anyway thank you all for your opinions and help with choosing The best DELTA (rep rap)by AFK-er - Delta Machines
Quote3DRapidClone QuoteAFK-er I'm looking forward to build new delta printer because i'm not happy with my Rostock. It's very loud and not stable enough to print fast. I wanted to build extended version of 3DR printer but i'm kind of curious about that Griffin. The only big problem is They are overpriced in poland and cost A LOT. And is Griffin a reprap? Because i can"t find any site or anythingby AFK-er - Delta Machines

I'm looking for your opinon. Whats the best DELTA (rep rap) nowdays? Tell me why you think it's the best and what is bad about it. Just tell me Pros and Cons of that printer please.by AFK-er - Delta Machines
Thank you for your reply. I managed to solve the problem by increasing extruder voltage a lot and installing fan on extruder motor.by AFK-er - General
Here is the video. Sorry about the quality but the only camera that i have is my phone camera.by AFK-er - General
I managed to change my tube to PTFE Tube 2mm inner. It seems to work kind of better but my extruder is still clicking. my steps/mm are correct temperature is right. It all looks like on the picture but the extruder is still clicking. My voltage is almost at max and i have cooling on my extruder motor too. And this clicking is still a stepper motor going back like it have not enough torque. What sby AFK-er - General
Thank you very much. I found that out around 2 days ago. I found my poroblem. It is the bowden extruder. I cant manage to push the PLA through the cable which connect the extruder with the hot end. I need to work on it because i found that when i keep the extruder close to the hot end without a cable it extrudes just perfectly. Have you got any ideas why it's so hard for the stepper motor to pushby AFK-er - General
I have changed stepper motor driver (Pololu - A4988) to a new one and it started working. The clicking sound is gone but i think that the extruder is not giving enough PLA or it's just not pushing PLA. Need to work on tightening the bolt because i think that might be the problem. I will report the results when i'll be back from school. Including pictures of fail print Stepper motor started cliby AFK-er - General
The motor is skipping but i think the power is high because it get a little warm now. when i print at 225 it click sometimes and while doing infil. When i print on 230 the PLA is to hot and starts to smell awful and slowly being black. It is showing room temperature when cooled (22 deg) and i have active cooling on cold end.by AFK-er - General
I have changed my settings to ATC Semitec 104GT-2 thermistor ( it's nr 8 in repetier) and i see a big difference. I can semi print now but the clicking sound is not gone. While doing infil it clicks a lot and it clicks from time to time. And i cant print on temperatures lower than 220. How about steps per mm in direct drive extruder? i'm using 1.8 degrees 200steps per revolution stepper motorby AFK-er - General
I can't check if the extruder is working with different hot end because i have only one hot end but PLA is pushed and it is not going backward. The hot end is getting hot and melting PLA. I'm using repetier and i picked 100k thermistor settings there(number 1 on the list). And i'm using direct drive bowden extruder like this one .by AFK-er - General
I have got another problem with my printer. I have bought E3D-v6 all metal hot end. I managed it to kinda work properly i think but when i'm trying to print the extruder is clicking and the PLA is going very slow that it is not able to make a single layer. Changing temperature make no difference. It's the same at 185 and 230. I have installed a fan to cool down cold end and my PLA is Cold there.by AFK-er - General
