I know this doesn't answer your question but I recently came across this project. Maybe it has what you need and spares you the need to hack pronterface?by mandrav - Printrun/Pronterface
I was thinking, did you try to print on a cold bed? Or, as cold as needed just to allow your print to stick? This would rule out way-off temp. measurements leading to way overheated bed, leading to the print being softer than normal while printing close to the bed, say up to 50mm Just an idea... I also agree with changing the 7-factor authentication to 6 or even 4. No reason to play with your rby mandrav - Delta Machines
QuotePDBeal Quotemandrav There's also this design for 1.75mm. I have it running (not on my Duet though, yet) and it's working surprisingly well. That's good to know. I presume your doing it with tool change code in Slic3r or S3D? I use it with Cura because Slic3r does not support prime towers unfortunately.by mandrav - Duet

AFAIK, it's already implemented.. Look for JSON_OUTPUT ('Features' tab in web configurator).by mandrav - Developers
Have you tried checking the "TCP stream" (or smth like it) in pronterface options? I think it's a problem of speed: the duet processes commands faster than the rate the host sends them... FWIW, I 'm seeing the exact same behavior on my RADDS board running RRF, controlling it through octoprint (i.e. US.by mandrav - Duet
Quotedc42 Quotemandrav Looks good Too bad though RepRapFirmware doesn't support LCDs at all... RepRapFirmware supports the PanelDue touch screen LCD, which is worlds ahead of all the others. It uses a high-resolution screen (up to 800x480 pixels), with 16-bit colour, and provides an on-screen keyboard so that you can enter almost any gcode. You can choose from 4.3, 5 or 7 inch LCD panels. It woby mandrav - Developers

If I 'm not wrong, this thread is about a DIY board which is obviously of interest to people that, to put it politely, have the necessary knowledge required to adjust a little pot. This feature is a nice-tho-have-but-wont-be-missed type of thing in this context, at least that's how I see it Nice design, well done @Traumflug.by mandrav - Controllers
Quotetoxuin That's great that I am not the only user of Esprinter anymore! ... I'll take a look at errors and flaws you're describing and push an update. Any time estimation? :pby mandrav - Developers
Ajax errors included. Until it pops up an ajax error, I can move the machine (always showing as not homed though). But that doesn't last long and an ajax error pops up... And I have also tried the dwc107 branch too, no change... In other words, I 'm experiencing the same symptoms as you have described.by mandrav - Developers
Common issue with cura engine default end g-code used by cura engine. Just put M83 right after G91 in end g-code. As it is by default (w/out M83), it's actually telling the extruder motor to go back to *absolute* -1 position, hence the full unloading I can only speculate that on other firmware, G91 implies relative movements of extruder motor too while that seems not to be the case with RRF.by mandrav - Firmware - mainstream and related support
QuoteJamesK OK, so this turned out to be much more difficult than I expected. Like djinn5150 I was also getting endless AJAX errors when connecting to the printer. I eventually tracked this down to a premature end of line in the response being generated by the M408 code in repetier line 2318 where it prints the ']' character. I just replaced it with an ordinary Com::print(']'); Now it connecby mandrav - Developers

Quotemandrav Quotechrishamm mandrav, this works in DWC v1.07 - I checked this yesterday when I printed a few parts. One thing that I find a little annoying is that at the end of the print all the metrics are gone and "n/a" is displayed... I 'd love, for example, to see how long the job took to printby mandrav - Ormerod

I don't have much experience with this setup so take this with a grain of salt I would not put the thermistor in direct contact with the heater. The reason being that you want the temperature of the aluminum bed reported, not that of the heater (the latter getting really hot really fast, I would guess). With that in mind, I 'd test with the thermistor on a corner of the aluminum bed (not touchiby mandrav - Delta Machines
Quoterealthor @mandrav: Are you also using different microstepping values for the 0.9 stepper compared to the 1.8deg steppers? No, same microstepping because I don't know of a way to change it on the Duetby mandrav - Delta Machines
I 've been running my mini kossel using two 1.8 degrees and one 0.9 degrees motor w/out any problems. You just have to set the steps/mm for each motor right. As far as motor current is concerned, it all has to do with how much current you allow it draw (via the pot or the firmware). The current rating is the maximum current the motor will draw before burning in flames (sort of, anyway)by mandrav - Delta Machines
The settings look like they're for smoothie, not RRF. Are you sure you haven't mixed things up? If you 're indeed running RRF on Duet, these are the settings it needs: M550 PPrinterName ; Machine name and Netbios name (can be anything you like) M551 Preprap ; Machine password (used for FTP) M540 P0xBE:0xEF:0xDE:0xAD:0xFE:0xED ; MAC Address ;*** Adjust the IP adby mandrav - General

Quotedc42 You can iterate different settings without uploading a new config.g every time. Just 'print' the new config.g. The network settings won't get updated, and you will get an error from the M563 command(s) unless you delete the existing tool(s) first using e.g. M365 P0 D-1 H-1, but everything else should work. Yes, I 'm using RepRapFirmware with RADDS. Having the ability to upload /sys files is of great help when tuning the printer because you can iterate different settings easily w/out having to remove the card, load it in a pc, update it, unload it and then put it back. Worst case scenario, the sd gets corrupted from web uploading for some reason and I have to take it out and copy all files again. Thby mandrav - Developers
