Hello, I own a Mini Kossel for more than a year now and I think I know pretty much everything that is needed to know about deltas, but I cant deal with this problem. The story : I calibrate the printer with manual paper calibration method, at every tower at Z 0.00 the paper is dragging just a bit and also at X0 Y0. Then I calibrate the rod length E steps.... I print a few things (3-5 models)by Shepard48 - Delta Machines
I am talking about theese concrete boards : :by Shepard48 - Controllers
Hello, I own a delta printer and I am considering to buy a 32 bit board. But I spent enormous amount of money for my printer, so I am aiming for something cheap. I have been looking for a lot of boards, but two of them suits my requirements the most. The AZSMZ mini and an Arduino Due with a Ramps-fd. For my setup, I need a MOSFET for a heated bed and a hotend, at least 4 stepper slots. It also wby Shepard48 - Controllers
Thats not a bad idea ! I used Marlin before but it has improved so much. I will have a try with that, I can set it up but if someone could send me an autocalibration guide for marlin, it would be really useful. Thanks Koenig!by Shepard48 - Printing
Okay, I have been experimenting with the Z probing last days but I could not get reasonable results. I will do the calibration by the 2nd link that Koenig posted. Thanks for that.by Shepard48 - Printing
Sorry Koenig, you wrote just before my post, Thanks for that site, will try that tomorrow and write what happenedby Shepard48 - Printing
Okay, thanks for reply, I tried to correct some leaning by adjusting the screws on the top triangle and tightening the belts after it. After that I printed that handle again and it improved a tiny bit, not much. Lets say I dont like autoleveling and also my arduino performance doesnt like z correction and I tried setting up the probe for like a month and couldnt get it to work. So if its possibleby Shepard48 - Printing
Thanks for the suggestions, I tried releveling the printer by the paper drag method with the X Y Z endstop offset settings in Repetier FW in EEPROM settings, and also recalibrated the DELTA_RADIUS setting. And BOOM nothing.... Printed the same part, the same "bad" lines came out. I wondered what could be the problem and spotted something on the raft of the part. Please look at it. Thanks again !!by Shepard48 - Printing
Hello, I own a Kossel mini delta printer and after some first prints I corrected the things that were wrong but I cant deal with this one. Just look at the picture, if you would have an idea how to solve this, or just try something, please help. Thanks so much for every reply !by Shepard48 - Printing
Thanks for reply, I am still experimenting with the 1st layer but it is improved now with a brim and better adhesion. For the jump, I tried printing from another PC and the same happened. But the final test was printing from SD card. Success ! No more jumps. Seems like something is with the communication via USB.by Shepard48 - Printing
For the current thing, please let me know what stepper drivers are you using. So that I will be able to tell you how to set the current properly, if you want to. Setting up the current limiting is really important, if too less amps, you will skip steps at fast moves and if too much, the stepper could overheat or make really bad resonance frequencies.by Shepard48 - Printing
Hello, for increasing the speed I would suggest buying a 5:1 geared stepper and finding a durable extruder design which you could print out. Then get some hardware like an MK8 filament gear and put it together. That will handle speeds above 50mm/s for sure. For the extruder design, there is a billion on forums, thingiverse... That will be your task to find one that will fit your desires. Actuallyby Shepard48 - Printing
Hello, I recently tried printing some self locking carriages for my mini Kossel printer. When I printed it first it had a line that was a bit off. It is hard to describe, just look at the picture. Then I said "It's only a random error..." then I started printing that again and it was the same. I am a bit confused, I am printing from my PC which is pretty overkill for this task and I even closedby Shepard48 - Printing
