Solved .. Each time I decide to update to the latest version it takes a considerable time to get the compile enviroment correct even when you follow all of the instructions and notes supplied with the release... After 5 years I think it is about time that there was a simple method to create a fully funtioning build of any version of the firmware... Hi guys you should realy avoid cutting polyurethane "leather" it is one of the materials listed bellow. So far the problems seem to be with some confusion over the header files Arduino.h, WProgram.h, Pins when compiling with the Z servo option set Both Midge and myself have been looking at these problems for a while now.. Wild Bill, I use 0.9 steppers and 14 tooth XML pulleys on X and Y and E on Huxley seedling using Sprinter or Marlin firmware on a standard 16mhz CPU. I'm intrigued as to why I would need to use an ARM CPU as both versions of Firmware running @16mhz on Huxley seedling easily exceed the maximum step rate for the stepper motors at 16x stepping at fast positioning rates jog & fast moves as extruby BodgeIt - Mechanics
The main problem with Eagle and making a PCB from the printer output is scaling you need to rescale every board to print as a PDF to do laser transfer. so print the file measure it in X and Y to get the right layers showing use display hide layers as Nophead said. Now measure the length calculate a factor to correct the print for both X and Y the reprint and re-check you can hen save it as a PDby BodgeIt - Sanguino(lolu)
The Laser cutter I have is an old Universal before Airasist was fitted as standard so when it was installed the guy adjusted the Filter suction to remove flame out when cutting 10mm perspex. hence the filter is not far off its maximum suction. Yes its very very noisy. Original it was supplied with a 1.5" focal length lens since then fitting a 2" focal length lens and makeing a beam centering taby BodgeIt - Laser Cutter Working Group
Thanks Victor.. been busy so have not logged in here for a while... The filler stages I was describing in my first post is the comercial recycling filter supplied with the laser it stands 150mm taler than the laser cutter and is about 18" square the size of a smal fridge.. as its recyling it heats up the room too much its core temp is between 35c and 38c so even though its designed to be energyby BodgeIt - Laser Cutter Working Group
I have created a New PCB that is in the WiKi called Stepcon. It alows a more powerfull steper driver to be connected to any PCB supporting Pololu drivers / Stepstick. When they arrive next week and I have tested them will update the Wiki entry.by BodgeIt - Controllers
Yes Gen7 is relativly easy to etch by toner transfer I have etched a few ... From Blogger Pictures I think I uploaded a PDF file that made this PCB in the Gen7 forum a while back... it has the plug in Screw terminal connectors as used on most CNC controlers and on the Ultimaker PCBsby BodgeIt - Controllers
The Sanguinololu connections are the same as your current driver board >> A A- B B- Do remember to set up the current on your Pololu boards to 0.4 v on the wiper of the Pololu pot. Note: you can set up the Pololu pot voltage with out having the main motor supply (12v) connected when the Sanguinololu is just being powered by its USB connection. This is the safest way to set the Pololu boarby BodgeIt - Sanguino(lolu)
The first PCBs arrived Tuesday this week I have not had any time to test them fully but the first circuit config worked. Today I will be testing the three circuit configurations of the Opto End Stop boards. I have already started to update the Wiki entry with more details. here is a picture of the PCBs. A 10mm thick perspex print bed works very well with ABS. You must not print PLA direcly onto the perspex bed as it bonds too well. So for printing PLA on a perspex bed you must stick Blue painters tape onto the perspex bed first.by BodgeIt - Plastic Extruder Working Group

I am confinced I read something here about a new boot loader for the 20mhz version of Gen7 board but my search ability is now failing me as I can't find it now..;-( Can any one point me to where I may have seen this.. I will be working on making an open source Air filter that will include a hepa type filter. Now that is a good result and interesting I've not opened any old Epson printers.. Not all printers use two steper motors now days. It is usualy only one stepper motor to run the paper feed this is usualy a 7.5 degree step not a 1.8 dgree step as used by reprap. The print head is usualy a servo type system based on a standard motor with an optical feed back sensor to get very high speed print head movement and resolution at very low cost. So using a 7.5 degree stepper ie 48 stby BodgeIt - General New Machines Topics
On all versions of the various Pololu type stepper controlers when used on a Ramps type board you can adjust the curent setting without the 12v -24v main motor/heater power suply being turned on. I have found the easiest way to do this is to use a small metal instument screw driver that has the red wire of your meter conected to it while the black wire of the meter is connected to the 0V of theby BodgeIt - RAMPS Electronics

I just read this I was expecting to see an indication of the repeatability diffrences between the two.. Took a trip out to Maplin and bought new ferric chloride crystals.. The diffrence is quite noticeable dead ferric chloride is greeny Yellow in colour.
