Upgraded my CR-10 to an MKS gen1.4 for more pins and program memory. Everything's working fine besides the fact there is no SD card reader as I wanted to save the original screen. I bought this one and wired it up to accordingly to the diagram I linked below. I supplied 5 volts from the aux3 pins and verified the reader was getting power with a multimeter. Wouldnt read anything. Plugged in the inby Splic3dBread - Controllers
I plan on perhaps adding a modification to my experimentation printer using massive 100+ tooth pulleys. In theory this should add more speed to the tool head with less speed to the motor mitigating rotor inertia, the biggest limiting factor in 3D printer speeds. I'll have to experiment with microstepping to see if there is a noticeable quality reduction with the lower values, something that usualby Splic3dBread - General
I am working on a very very tiny delta printer and wish to use nema 11's (yes, it's that small) Most of them operate at 3.5v so any drivers normally used for 3d printers won't work. The DRV8834 looks like my best option. What I'm wondering is if there's a way I can make them work with a traditional control board. Here's the pictures of the pin output of the A4988 and DRV8834.
