Quotecxp297 Hello, I want to apply OLED screen to my ramps 1.4, but the code structure of marlin 2.0 firmware is too different from that of V1. Although I can implement it on Marlin 1.1.9, it is always wrong in 2.0. Could you give me a modification method for 2.0, including SD card module Marlin 2.0 already supports these screens. Exactly which configuration options you use depends on which variby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
Quoteproperlypurple Has anyone tried this on a Creality 4.2.2 board that comes by default on the new Ender3s? I've messed up the lcd trying to explore a color change, and this looks like a great option to build. The trick is that you would have to find one of the i2c busses on that stm32f1 exposed to a pin header. You could build the spi version and connect it to the existing header, maybe witby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
QuoteOSSSA Hello. help me please. I have assembled the display and am unable to apply the patch to my configuration. Here is my machine configuration. Thanks Good grief. Why are you using marlin 1.x in 2021? Don't. Download marlin 2.0, transcribe your configuration file to the new version, compile that. No patch needed.by Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
FYI, my SKR 1.4 crashes randomly without U8G_I2C_OPT_FAST and of course shifts the display with it. This turns out to be a known issue in marlin with no resolution in sight.by Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
Oh i see. In the appropriate section of ultralcd_DOGM.h, change "#define U8G_PARAM (U8G_I2C_OPT_NONE | U8G_I2C_OPT_FAST)" to #define U8G_PARAM (U8G_I2C_OPT_NONE)"by Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
Over the weekend i cobbled my own controller with an sh1106 1.3" display based on diagrams and information here. Will be using it with an skr 1.3 I'm using marlin 2.0.7.2 and noted the OLED_PANEL_TINYBOY2, which works except for it is for ssd1306. Pretty sure i made the correct change in the u8g conditionals for that. I'm unsure where to remove U8G_I2C_OPT_FAST? Edit: Do not edit the u8g condby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
I realize that RADDS is so 2015. But it seems like there are a lot of them out there, firmware support is only improving, and for many there aren't compelling reasons to upgrade from them. A radds plus the v3 extension board also appears to be one of the cheapest ways to have 9 stepper drivers if you are doing something like Z leveling with 3 z steppers and 4 extruders. Much cheaper than a duetby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
Quotedc42 QuoteTimpanogos Slim There is a consideration with all trinamic drivers (and possibly others) that they require VMOT to be powered before VDD, which means that you have to assure that the DUE board is not powered over USB prior to the RADDS having 12v or 24v power applied. But that's not a RADDS thing, it's true no matter where you use them. That's not quite true. You can apply Vdd befby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
Quotepeps1 QuoteVDX ... the RAPS128 have the same pinout as the other "pololu-like" drivers - only the polarity of the enable-pin has to be inverted in the firmware ... Thanks, VDX, I get the RAPS128 will work, I just wondering what my other options would be on the RADDS board? Any pololu style stepstick should work in the RADDS provided that your firmware supports it (or can be kludged to suppby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
QuotePippy Hello Which external MOSFET module do you have exactly I wonder? Their are a few different types .. MOSFET modules Most all MCU's have their pins in high impedance mode when in reset/boot-up mode, so if the pin has an external pull-up then that would turn a FET on during that period (which you do not want). But it all depends on how you have it wired and on the external MOSFET scheby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
I am just starting to get the RADDS that i bought almost a year ago hooked up to my Tronxy X5S, which is a relatively large corexy printer, thus it comes with a fairly high wattage heatbed. They've shipped a bunch of different versions of functionally defective heatbeds over the few years they have sold this printer, but i got lucky and bought in a window when they were shipping one that can beby Timpanogos Slim - Controllers
