Hi fellows! I was printing in a graber in PETG in 240º / 90º, but I had not installed an external mosfet. Because of this, my ramps burned one of their pins, user to receive the 12V from the PS to the hot bed. Then, I decided to change my ramps shield, and remade all the wiring. Mounting a anti backlash nut on z axis - 4 months ago

Is there any particular care to be taken when installing an anti backlash nut on the z axis of a reprap 3D printer? Whenever I try to install it, I can´t keep the bottom part of the nut in place, while screwing the trapezoidal axis through the upper part, because of the pressure of the spring. Does anybody know a video showing some tips? Thanks.

Thermal runaway from the hotend - 5 months ago

Hi again, everybody! I built a Graber reprap 3D printer and it was working very well. But in a week or two, it started to show this error message in the middle of the printing process. Have you tried to increase current by decreasing the PS voltage? I solved all problems in my LCD with this simple procedure.

Is it possible to enable "linear advance" in a 3d printer using a 8 bit board? - 6 months ago

I have built a Prusa for my self, and it is working quite weel. But I see that there is still need of smoothing the surface of the objects, so I thought about enabling "linear advance" in Marlin 1.1.9. Is it possible? My shield is a Ramps 1.4 together with Arduino Mega 2560.

Ramps FD or RADDS, together with ArduinoDue would not work? If I reach 100-200 mm/s it is enough.

I am thinking about Ramps FD or RADDS. It seems that RADDS is a good option. I am just wondering if I can use one of the slots for one more motor in z axis instead of another extruder. Is it possible?

Hi VDX and all! What hardware do you recommend with RADDS and Arduino Due? I am thinking about starting with a more simple 3D printer, with 5 motors (1 extruder and 2 motors supporting z axis).

Hi everybody! Trying to understand if there were a problem of steps/mm in calibration of the z axis of my 3D printer, I printed this ladder in the pdf file attached. Notice that the steps are equally spaced in height by 10mm each. After printing, the dimensions of height of each step are: 1st = 9.80mm (should be 10mm), so, if I should calibrate steps by mm the correction should be 1.020 2nd = 19.

Hi! The diagonals are equal. But I still cannot reach good precision on the z axis. I have tried to lubricate the fuses, improved the microsteps, bed levelling and so on. In 20mm I could only reach 19.62mm!

Do you recommend Ramps working with ArduinoDue? Is there any other board that can support 5 motors (2 in z axis) and all other hardware like in a Graber or Prusa?

No, sorry, that was really lck of retraction. I was printing very small letters, and the lines were also very close one to the other. I decreased temperature and increased the travel speed. So, they vanished!

I thought speed was a matter of whether use or not a32 bit mother board. But recently I heard somebody to say that it is a restriction of Marlin. Is it true?

I thought it was retraction. But it is not! Lack of retraction seems like spider web, and is easily removed. These are solid walls! I can´t imagine what it is. And when I visualize the simulation of printing, it does not appear! I am about to give up!

I was printing a very small letter of about 10mm high, and I noticed there were printed parts where not desired. It seems that the nozzle jumps from certain parts over regions that should not have any print, and, because of the very short distances, the retraction enabled is insuficient. I think that this could be solved if the nozzle is forced to run just over printed parts, before changing from

My LCD screen was working well - 7 months ago

While I was finishing mounting the printer, I did not install the box for the ramps and the lid. After this, the screen cannot support the begining of the printing process, and becomes only blue, without any caractheres. I thought it was a problem of current, and I decreased the tension to 11,85V. But this did not work. I have a 360W PS. What can I do? Thanks.

How to configure real position of endstop - 8 months ago

My Y endstop is triggered out of the y border of the bed, and I would like to register this. Recently, I comanded the bed leveling and the points at the ymax border could not be achieved. By the way, is there a method for calibrating bed leveling with BLTouch? Also, how can I update this information of real position of the endstops and the limits of printing in y axis? Thanks!

Hi everybody! I am having difficulties in ensuring the dimensions of objects in my Graber. I thought that it was only a matter of steps by mm, but it is not just external dimensions. At the end, inner diameters and distances between holes dont fit. Is there any kind of checking list or something? Thank you all!

Y axis of Graber vibrates a lot! - 8 months ago

I finished mounting my Graber PRO, and it is working quite well. But I noticed that the Y axis is vibrating a lot, till it maked a lot of noise. Does anybody know how to fix this? Is it possible to lubrificate the motor? If yes, where could I do this? In the pulley? Thanks!
