Alright. Thanks. I didn't understand the difference between the types of firmware and the softwares which connect to them. I have no preference of which firmware/host software to use. So long as both can allow me to type in custom G-Code, I will just go with whichever is easiest. Thanks for the help.by wireframe - General
Thanks for the post. You are right, this is topic is probably best suited for the firmware board. I will post the next question in there. I understand the code you have posted and I would love to try it, but I have another problem which is stopping me. Your suggestion is for for the FiveD_GCode_Interpreter.pde firmware. I was using an older firmware. While I am happy to switch to this newer firmby wireframe - General
Hi Guys, I am running a reprap motherboard v1.2 by MakerBot with v1.6 firmware and replicatorG-0020. I am trying to add a couple of simple modifications to the G-Code parser, but am having no success. I want to add 4 custom M-Codes which basically just raise or lower a digital pin on the Sanguino board. I have looked through the firmware and found a file called MasterGCodeInterpreter.pde. Hi, What about hijacking an unused motor controller port? Does anyone see a possibility here? I would need to be able to control the 'enable' and 'dir' bits directly from G-Code. Do you think that is possible? -Evanby wireframe - General
That would probably work, but I don't have an extruder controller and I wont really want to buy a full board for my simple on/off task. What sort of signals are being sent to the extruder controller?by wireframe - General
Hi, I am looking to switch the extruder in my reprap out for another tool. I want to be able to turn my new tool on and off, but no other controls are necessary. I can not use a modified extruder controller board. Where Can I find information about how the reprap motherboard v1.2 (http://www.reprap.org/wiki/Motherboard_1.2) communicates with the extruder or with a tool? Does anyone have adviceby wireframe - General
Thanks. I will try that and it will probably work. If at all possible, I would like to keep the G-Code in X-A to simplify the process for other people using the machine. -Evanby wireframe - Controllers
Hi Guys, I am trying to modify the MakerBot RepRap electronics to operate a tubing cutter. I have the MakerBot v1.2 RepRap motherboard and I am planning to copy my G-Code directly into replicatorG. All my G-Code is only the X, A (rotation about X) axes. I am having trouble getting replicatorG/motherboard to interpret the G-Code. What parts of the system do I need to modify? And where can I findby wireframe - Controllers
