so just to be clear, id like to know which supplier is not selling a made in china filament? cos id like to know and try some myself.by redreprap - General
when you say poll, i clicked and was hoping to see approx amt used per year, percieved consistency, price etc hahahaby redreprap - General
how big is your CNC VDX? and how big is ur gantry gtg252b ?by redreprap - General
hmmm the rectifiers in series that sends power to the motor then the logic rails .... is that neccesary? as in they are in series when you consider that at the last rail, it drops 1.2v ? and current gonna squeeze thru the middle diode. i think u should fan the rectifiers from the reservoir cap (parrallel distro out) instead of series them out from the reservoir cap. not sure if i make sense. andby redreprap - Controllers
from an electronics point of view, the stepper coils are driven by the mosfet, so if 1 were to directly dig in to improve output, change the driver portion with an alternate mosfet. thats the theory at least in my mind, however, ramp being a SMD board, it will be really challenging to do that, unless u use an alternate board that allows some space on the pcb for mods?by redreprap - Controllers
woops o no ... the new version is that horrible? ... i ordered 1 to try it out ... well i hope they fixed it ...by redreprap - Controllers
when i get mine done, i am going to try and print 10-20 random cubes and check consistencies .... if any1 runs somekind of lab, it will be good to find out the chemical composition of what we are all getting.by redreprap - General
i think what we have here is that the air flow is not consistently constant in terms of 1) specific volume of air directed at a very specific area = change in temperature = change in mechanical character of filament 2) the exact specifics of the air humidity/ temperature. which affects its ability to soak up latent heat around it. to me, when air is fan impelled to direct at something, it isby redreprap - General
this is definately interesting ... i have about 30-40 peltiers lying around ...by redreprap - General
hmmmm cheap PLA, i wonder what is the chemical composition exactly ... any1 know? anyway i like to find a reliable PLA source, good PLA for printing consistent filaments ... any recommendations?by redreprap - General
this is interesting ...by redreprap - Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
check this out yo geeks ... found this while browsing ... enjoyby redreprap - Controllers
o wow ... splice-able belts? they must think we are geniuses in belting technbology ... tnx for the tip, but nope im not ordering with mcmaster. i should be doing it from B&B manufacturing , still checking if they have stock on some of the belts, and then i guess i am set (fingers crossed hopefully nothing else will go wrong LOL) Polygonhell Wrote: ----------------------------------------by redreprap - Reprappers
hmmm i need the HTD3/5 belt variety. thanks for the info tho ... from some of the design reworks ... looks like i be going HTD5 series, cos 1 of the belts are going around over 2.5 metres mars bonfire Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Must admit I am surprised at your problem with > them. > > Another source (though more limited selection) is > www.by redreprap - Reprappers
lol yea on that ... i do have to reduce the size currently i am trying to finalize some pulleys n belts ordering, so the finalized size should be smaller. build size is approx about 650x750x900 skm Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > printer that big, 1meter x 1 meter x 1 meter, will > you have a forklift to unload 200 lb spools of > filament? well i still got nothing from SDP-SI after their last email to try to find my lost shipment and finalize my 2nd order ... so i decided to give a few googled sources a few shots of email and try my luck ... (including chinese sites) well it seems i found a "B&B manufacturing" which i though is giving me a really nice quick email reply and some very nice pricing as well. though i share thisby redreprap - Reprappers
disconnect everything and just PC-sanguino ? make it talk ?by redreprap - Reprappers
fwooo very nice DIY implementation. i recently did a thermal reflector, rather large scale and i did not want to spend alot. i bought cheap plastic corrugated sheets (about 4mm thick) and stuck 1 side with cooking ALU foil. i ended up making about 4-5 sq metres of it, under $70 bucks i think. and up it went to most of my windows and odd what not ports. Gah ~~~ im put on hold again (as in no replies thru emails) ... 7th week and nothing on my first order ... 3rd week trying to order something else and it does not seem to bother that people have to wait 3 weeks to get a $200 bucks order done? ... if it ships will i have to wait till next year? this is really frustrating ... can you do me a favor and call them and ask them what the hell is taby redreprap - Reprappers
yep ... it is going the path of commercial ...by redreprap - General
Oooooohhhh Noooooo ... emails to them ended up in sending failure today ... did they went bankrupt? means my $100++ order is gone ... *edit* ok maybe some one from there saw this ... i got replied right now LOL ... anyway my shipment is missing for 6 weeks, and a new order didnt get processed for over 2 weeks ...by redreprap - Reprappers

both these are not from my workshop, i was just browsing and found these to be amusing (esp the repetier making the steppers sound like a musical instrument) repetier based ... same machine but marlin? steppers sound diff now ...by redreprap - Reprappers

this is mine ... nothing much going on so far ... my pulleys and belts are "lost" from SDP-SI ... cant get any replies from them on email either ... *sad* ... and i had a medical emergency in the house so .... i guess i wont be moving forward as fast on the buildupby redreprap - Reprappers

yes i will be building a extractor port, and the final machine will be boxed with vented "pathways" intake and extractor ... i sleep in the same room as the machine ... i need to wake up tomorrow hahahahaha !!by redreprap - Reprappers
o my, thats interesting ... i think if i am to make a flippable heat cover, i think the car heat shield would be my choice, unless i can find some of those air con insulation foam sheets.by redreprap - Reprappers
