Quotedintid I have read - several times - it and do not at all see it as an explanation. I know it is when i use BANG BANG instead of PID... but what does the 2c hysteresis mean? QuoteAlexus12 Quotearthurwolf Pin 1.22 is not PWM-capable. Pin 1.23 is for example. See : Thanks. I have changed pin 1.22 to pin 1.23 and now have the next result. When I send M280 S5 or other value of S, the servo turns always on the same position. And only one time. If I send M280 command with another S value the servo is not turns. QuoteAlexus12 Quoteo_lampe Always use a separate 5V supply for the servo. Make sure, the ground is connected to GND on the Sbase and on the servo plug ( black ). Connect the external 5v line only to the ( red?) servo wire. The yellow or white servo wire is for the sbase signal. OK. I have connected the servo using external power supply. Quotedintid @arthurwolf Is the Smoothieboard 2going to have naitive support for Thermocouplers and/or PT100? Can the current Smoothieboard handle Thermocouplers without an external amplifier? Smoothieboard v1 does not have amplifiers on-board, and v2 will not either. However, v2 will have an extension board system that will make it very easy to add things like that, with a standard connector anby arthurwolf - Controllers
Quotedintid I'm actually been waiting for Smoothieboard v2 for ages, but since there's no date or Price, It's a huge project ( we are not just taking somebody else's design and firmware and selling it, we actually have to do a lot of work, with the community ), and it is making progress. I hope to have some good news soon. As for price, we aim at trying to keep the v2 at about the same price asby arthurwolf - Controllers
And if anyone has any question about it, or gets one and runs into any trouble, they can email me directly at wolf.arthur@gmail.com ( or if that's not your thing, we also have a very active IRC channel, forums, mailing lists etc ). If you have extrusion problems, I *very strongly* recommend you start by getting slicer-based retract and extrusion working, before moving on to the more recent method of firmware-based retract and extrusion ( volumetric ). I haven't touched any of this personally myself, so I am not familiar with it, and I'm not sure many are in the community yet. 1. I don't expect Smoothie to ignore anything.by arthurwolf - Printing
Du coup je te recommende tres fortement d'utiliser l'enstop classique ( une fois que ca marche tu peux toujours experiementer avec autre chose ). C'est quoi que tu comprends pas du coup ? Tu as lu ? Salut.
QuoteWalkerMaker I hope I can get some advice from the gurus here. Smoothie support hasn't been very...responsive :/ The Smoothie community will generally be very responsive to Smoothie-specific problems. For more general 3D printing problems, you'll still get an answer most of the time, but it'll probably take more time. If you have ideas of what to make charts about, I can probably make a few. I was thinking of comparing hotends, and comparing firmwares. Though it can be a bit more difficult to extract the data. Hey, just wanted to react to this : QuoteKurzaa One of the reasons RAMPS is cheap is because it is cloned in China to sub-spec standards. This rarely impacts the performance, but as 32-bit boards have yet to achieve the same adoption / acceptance as 8-bit boards like the RAMPS,. With this : Smoothie is actually getting very very popular, even though it's many times more expensive than burn-yby arthurwolf - General
I just wanted to point out that a *genuine* Smoothieboard is in the same price range as a *genuine* RAMPS or Rambo. Burnt-your-house-down not-to-spec RAMPS counterfeits from China, sold something like $20 nowadays, completely skew everybody's perception of what it actually costs to produce, test and distribute these boards. I think Duet is probably, right now, the least expensive board that stiby arthurwolf - General
Hello. I've seen a few times now on this forum users request a new section be opened for the Smoothieboard hardware, and/or Smoothieware firmware. Hey. About expansion boards. Smoothieboard 5XC supports dual extrusion out of the box. But it also has a spare thermistor input, and a spare mosfet ( which allows you to control a third hotend ). Meaning that on a 5XC, the only thing you are missing to control a third extruder, is a stepper motor driver. And wiring one of those is trivial ( and cheap ), see documentation : For example, this isby arthurwolf - General
@RickRap : Thanks for the kind words. Smoothie's SD card driver is being worked on right now ( adding DMA and FIFO buffers ) and it should make it significantly faster both via USB and Ethernet. Hey there. Arthur from the Smoothie project here. I wanted to chime in about Ethernet : Smoothie's web interface is very minimalistic at the moment.
