I didn't think Repeatier supported bed leveling / calibration for delta printers, though it has been a while since I have used it. I also didn't think cartisian bed leveling worked for delta printers. Delta leveling / calibration is more involved then calibrating cartisian printers. I would start by reading up on how to manually dial in your printer with something like minow.blogspot.com. Escherby Kurzaa - Printing
Grats on the update. Thanks to you both for all your hard work.by Kurzaa - Duet
Was worried I would end up needing to cut the plug. How about creating a replacement cord though that I could plug into my printer? Anyone have thoughts on a 4 pole plug / socket that could handle 15A? Was thinking something along the lines of what Lulzbot uses, assuming it isn't something that must be custom ordered.by Kurzaa - General
Just curious, but could you simply film video, then use OpenCV to process the video, grabbing frames and generating a time lapse when it detects the hotend at a specific point?by Kurzaa - Duet
Broke down and bought an XBox One PSU this weekend. Supposedly it supplies 12V at 16-17A and a 5V rail at 1A. Figure it will be perfect for powering a Duet 0.8.5, E3D v6, and a small round kapton heated bed from UltiBots. Not sure where to get a plug to wire to my printer though so that I can plug the power supply into my printer without tearing apart or hardwiring the PSU. Open to any experienby Kurzaa - General
Thanks DC42, exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate you adding the page to the Duet's website, will definitely need to bookmark it for the future.by Kurzaa - Duet
Thanks for all of the suggestions. Definitely going to re-think my cooling needs and I appreciate the links to the Slimline on Thingiverse and berdAir. Was not aware of either of those options.by Kurzaa - Delta Machines
I am presently printing sans-print cooling fans on my Rostock Mini. Never re-attached the angled platform fan after upgrading to an E3D v6...angle issues and such with the mount. Was considering mounting 2-3 120mm computer cooling fans (3-pin) to the base of the towers on the printer, providing a rough cross-breeze for part cooling when needed. Originally considered 80mm fans, but I found some 1by Kurzaa - Delta Machines
Looking for the correct part numbers for the white locking connectors on the Duet 0.8.5 board. Would like to finally clean up some of the wiring and swapping out the "servo" connectors. I know it has been posted here before, but couldn't find anything with a quick Google search. Also, I am using similar connectors on the flight controller for my drone, a Micro HKPilot Mega from Hobbyking. Any idby Kurzaa - Duet
You might try looking at Greeetech's website which appears to have a Rostock printer. Also consider checking out the SeeMeCNC Rostock Max forums, which will hopefully get you to a good starting point for your settings. Sadly, I have moved onto 32-bit boards, so I can't offer much advice. Good luck.by Kurzaa - Delta Machines
This might be a better question for the delta forums. I have moved on from Marlin / RAMPS boards for my delta, but at the time I recall G29 being for cartesian bed leveling not delta auto-calibration. I would consider reviewing the firmware for your printer to make sure you are using the correct g-code and parameters. You also will want to make sure the printer is dialed in a closely as possibleby Kurzaa - Reprappers
Nevermind. Just power-cycled the board and it seems to be working again.by Kurzaa - Duet
Printer was working fine, I think I was on 1.13, but it might have been 1.12 still. Upgraded to 1.14 without issue but now my z-probe (fsr) is reading 1000 and constantly triggered where it was reading 0 by default. Not sure what to change or where to change it.by Kurzaa - Duet
QuoteElmoCIt would only display 3 of the hot ends if you used the add-on board. Just not enough space on the display for all the information. Using smaller fonts would be possible, but the legibility is really bad. Sorry, didn't explain my comment right. Would your board be a pass through board for the Duet extension board? That way both boards could be used together, thus allowing more than 3by Kurzaa - Duet
I think the Duet 0.6 only supports 1x extruder and the 0.8.5 2x extruders, If more extruders were to be used, how would your board interact with the add-on board?by Kurzaa - Duet
I think I have a Geeetech too, sadly never was able to use it when I was running RAMPS on my delta, but it would be nice learn more about your project. Definitely don't care for the Marlin interface, I have also had trouble with the encoder the one or two times I attempted to use it (too many clicks, reversed, etc...). What kind of area does the screen support for mocking up display ideas?by Kurzaa - Duet
Thanks for the comment on the sub-region probing. I actually reduced my probing area recently to try to improve the bed level. Wasn't a significant decrease, but now I know to put it back.by Kurzaa - Duet
Not familiar with the MicroMake, but on my Rostock the carriages have screws for triggering the endstops, so using Minow's delta calibration guide, I can manually adjust each screw to calibrate the bed. Alternatively, Escher3D has a web-enabled wizard for manually calibrating your build surface with his least-squares (?) routine used in the RepRapFirmware. I believe it should have instructions fby Kurzaa - Delta Machines
I converted from Marlin to RepRapFirmware earlier this year. I did feel there was a learning curve while setting up the config.g file for my delta printer, but the sample config.g files from the SD card on GitHub seemed to be decently commented and support on these forums is extremely helpful.by Kurzaa - Duet
Will the Wifi and 0.8.5 firmware eventually be merged into one update? Thanks for all your hard work and grats on the development of the DuetWifi.by Kurzaa - Duet
Finally bothered to print out a 100mm cube which came out to roughly 102.5mm x 102mm. Using M579 X0.975 Y0.980 (technically twice) and reprinting the cube has me within an acceptable tolerance of 100mm. So I have two questions. First, where is the best place to save the command. Right now it is towards the end of my config.g, but I didn't know if it would impact auto-calibration or not. Second,by Kurzaa - Duet
Under the advanced settings for your printer profile, on the Gcode tab, is an option for enabling M101/M102/M103. Just noticed it, though I think it was available in v3.0.2 as well.by Kurzaa - Duet
You might try looking at Triffid Hunter's Calibration Guide, , if you haven't already. The general rule of thumb is that you want your layer height to be less than 80% of your nozzle diameter and your layer width (typically set automatically by the slicer software) to be at least 1.2 times your nozzle diameter. I am currently printing at 0.2mm x 0.48mm with a 0.4mm nozzle without issue. You shouby Kurzaa - Printing
Better spot to answer these questions is on the Duet forums, though I am sure DC42 will eventually see them here. To me, it sounds like you are running normally open end stops, which means no electricity is passing through the end stop until you trigger it, closing the circuit. At that point, you are probably causing a short on the board which resets the board. Double check your wiring and makeby Kurzaa - Delta Machines
Based on the display, I am wondering if the thermistor is working correctly. If not, that should prevent the hot end from heating up. Try measuring the resistance on the wires heading to your thermistor.by Kurzaa - Reprappers
Was thinking about this descendant of the Tantillus printer this week and wanted to share a link to their website.by Kurzaa - Tantillus
Just saw a mention about the FolgerTech FT-5, , on reddit and was wondering if this would be considered a CoreXY kit and if anyone had any more information on it?by Kurzaa - CoreXY Machines
Not something I would try printing personally. However, it looks like the "bottom" of the model will be "hidden", so I would try printing it on a raft, roughly how it is currently oriented, so any ugliness from the raft will be hidden and you end up with a nice smooth top. Never printed with a raft before, so I am not sure how you would set it up in your slicer software.by Kurzaa - Printing
To solve the problem, listen to Digital Dentist. As a quick band aid, try printing with a brim on the first layer.by Kurzaa - Printing
I would start by reading , followed by , which is how I got started. Then you might try googling your printer for any related guides from other users.by Kurzaa - Delta Machines
