Hi Ben, out of this two choises it is the ooznest. That kit is really complete. Even the glass for the heatbed and 1kg of filament and a lot of other things in detail are part of the kit. No hardened steel rod ist not the problem of rust, the problem ist more that the linear bearing will wear the rod out. But for me there is no doubt, at the moment I would take only this kit: Mendel90 I have oby danielis - Prusa i3 and variants
Yes, the printer was build in December and I have printed more than 4kg of filament until I decide to activate ABL last weekend. Even now in this moment the printer is printing. (with deactivated ABL)by danielis - General
No, the printer ist not printing in the center of bed after ABL. The printer starts with the print approximately 40mm to far on the left side.by danielis - General
I have very similar problems. In my case I was also not able to get it working. Not clear for me ist the RIGHT LEFT FRONT BACK thing. I am using a Mendel90 who has 0,0 in the center of the bed. Y = -100 when the nozzle is at the back of the bed, Y= +100 if the nozzle is in the front. X = -100 when the nozzle is on the very right side and X = +100 when it is on the very left side.
