Hi Guys, Just thought I'd jump in with a quick question. Anyone exploring the idea of using a high power IR laser diode with fibre optic cable to sinter / melt a suitable material for prototyping? They seem to be cheaply available on eBay. not sure why everyone always thinks of CO2 when considering lasers. Possible to get a tight burning beam with a fibre pigtail. Any thoughts?
