mks base v1.4 (as supplied on tevo tarantula) marlin firmware. ok. i had this printer working fine a few months ago. then i added a laser head. finally got that working. saved a new version of marlin separately, so one config is laser, one config for printing. today i go to print, so reflash firmware from original printing configuration. Z isnt working. not even enabling, ie, i can spin it frby headsmess - Firmware - mainstream and related support
i am in the same boat but slightly ahead of you...i think. tevo tarantula, running marlin. reassigned fan control to pin 11 (one of the servo outputs on the mks base v1.4 the tarantula uses) i just saw this issue on the repetier forum, and it made me realise something... when you run as a 3d printer... if you enter the m106 s*** command via host, the laser comes on, m107 turns it off. or theby headsmess - Laser Cutter Working Group

howdy. and cheers. regarding this error... from the marlin supplied with the tarantula, heres what it says when i try the latest version of arduino Arduino: 1.8.1 (Windows 7), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560, ATmega2560 (Mega 2560)" Build options changed, rebuilding all In file included from sketch\SdFile.h:27:0, from sketch\cardreader.h:8, from sby headsmess - RAMPS Electronics
hello! i have a tarantula running ramps 1.4 and the reprap discount controller. so far figured out how to get the encoder to work the right way...for some reason arduino wont display pins.h (its there in the list but the tab of files from the actual arduino menu doesnt go that far? i click the arrow to open up the sidebar and it stretches further than my screen will allow... rather annoying!) sby headsmess - RAMPS Electronics
hallo! wasnt exactly sure where to stick this post, but anyways...seeing as i am using a board that is "technically" RAMPS... i stuck it here! i just got a tarantula (tevo) had an issue with the board, MKS base 1.4, and replaced with a MKS base 1.5. having figured out a few little niggly points, such as the latest marlin RC not liking arduino IDE lower than...1.6.* (i think it said) and the orby headsmess - RAMPS Electronics
