0 lampe,Yup, i tried that earlier on, i've sort of got it sorting by turning up the prime speed and upping the prime distance a touch, still on it trying to get it nice like. tyty edit..opened a window a few minutesago...sheeesh that spewed things lol, closed it again.by munchit1 - Printing
and back to square one................................help?by munchit1 - Printing
hmmm sort one the other over does...ffff enough for tinight as it light now... next gues, bed leval?? any one?by munchit1 - Printing
hi all, having a problem with these medical clitorus stl prints of the net from france. basically, cannot sort the seem join, i've pondered it a while, then tinkered, the seem join 'plus' and 'minus' on the software both make it worse, so, i'm thinking the E0 steps per mm (theyre spot on), or secondly the prime speed and or prime amount need turning up? will that sort it? any sugestions?by munchit1 - Printing
Yaught varnish works on pla... so it probably would. test a bit of print to see what happens, leave it a few days to see if anything weird happens.by munchit1 - Reprappers
switched to using the SD card, last night it was still spewing up weird n wanderfulls, switched on today sliced and diced and things are working now....sleep walking i'm not prone too lol...why it works now? i have noooooo idia! View My Videoby munchit1 - Reprappers
ok...i've give up the idia of pc printing, fished out a lcd with card reader, all the G code files i'd been trying still do the missed step look alike mess of a print from an SD card.(even re slicing gives the same effects). sooo... next step is to go back to scratch and redo the stl and G code files and use a completly diferent slicer just to see if its that, i've read here and their about sketby munchit1 - Reprappers
ermmm Floyd...lol really really didnt work...eeeee whilste the bed heated up (pronterface) it moved to off the x axisis whilste extruding weird diagle moves...is my board a dud? surely 80 percent of the program versions cant all have a unique fault? e.g. one wont extrude, another doesnt register any heaters heating up but you dind out everythings on full bore...another wont utilise the heater beby munchit1 - Reprappers
QuoteFloyd Not really sure what all I just tried to read... For what its worth, I use Cura for slicing and use Pronterface to run the code *if I run from the PC* Normally I post the code to an SD card and run it from the printers LCD screen. i got my old printer working to make a part for the new one...set it up, got it printing and printed a sphere to chek the dimentions, bed levaling etc...andby munchit1 - Reprappers
everthing went fine untill i printed a sphere...i looked at the bottom layers and though wtf is this?? i gotta see what this is doing lol.. more like a lamp shade with a small amount of spewed up exstrution on top, the middle bit was pritty good, water tight and very sperical.....what is it? specs...1mm extrution width, single wall, pla, 0.4mm layer height, 195c and 65c bed temp. 45mm/sec printby munchit1 - Reprappers
hi all, one week in of installing duds, crocs and 'wont work on this systems' i'm still trying to get a print using pronterface/slicer.(had to replace the slic3r files in the pronterface folder to get rid of anoying 7 box pop ups) i'v re striped and stripped then rebuilt the printer, replaced a shed load of bits including motors and controler boards..... heres the problem, every thing was workby munchit1 - Reprappers
ahhh poo...installed it regaurdles, now the rumba board no longers apears to be conected...got rid of the viroused files and the arduino no longer apears in programs list, ahhh yup yup yupby munchit1 - General
yup running the free. see the problem i had ignoring it (some say change the name of a thumbnail file) is it apears elsware later after file and virous removeall, i.e. it reinstalled elsware when gone, some times up to three times...i'll be reinstalling my system for sure. in the past things like knaperply crap, norton be-elzie bub and others like macafree's bought or full or free, the problemby munchit1 - General

yes, the boards h. list. the version on the board is 1.0 , i have malwarebytes..and yes i think your right about the driver, the whole file disapears when i remove the vorous. are there any otyher sources? hmm, if my motor set wireing and/or motors were that badly wired would there any other way of telling? e.g. would thay actualy run or sparks or some other tell tale, i have changed the wire hby munchit1 - General
ok my smoothie drivers died fast....dunno why, tried new wires etc they still popped, 4 of the 6...so i gave up with it, feck it more to the point that monies lost innit! so, down graded to a rumba board, the 45 quid one, with jumpers (not dip switch's), conects to my pc out of the box np, all the printer programs connect to it and report its gumf.. so, arduino and 'marlin'...arghhhhh arghhhhhby munchit1 - General
Quotedc42 I presume you are referring to the risk of killing USB ports due to transients on the ground loop[ you get when you connect a printer and a PC via USB. Wired ethernet is another good solution, because it provides galvanic isolation, unlike USB. ahhhh, thats good to know tytyby munchit1 - General
the idia was to isolate the printer to save killing any ports.by munchit1 - General

hi all, sorry if its the rong section but.. is it yet posable to just plug a wifi int a 3d printer? (i dont mean buy a read made with the added feature though..literally, buy a wifi and conect it up?)by munchit1 - General
ok, had my first motor fetality..the exstruder moter went from clack clack then run, so i slowed and it cured it..for 5 minutes, then slowly but surely slowing the print no longer helped..untill it just vibrates there, i asume died its death.. so..i look at the motors and find 2 things, the volts and the amps..yes i know what they are but...in old motors the more the volts the more speed, up theby munchit1 - General
over distance any anomalies maximise or apear..the math would very straight forward too.. i.e. 10000 steps = 51mm straight division. if yu go for gold make caliper measurement points on your axis and a short program line..three measurements later yu dun. was just a thoughtby munchit1 - General
is it posable to enter a comand 'in steps'? something like, instead of a G1 X100 place a move 100steps in 1/16 or what ever, would seriously simple up calibrating.by munchit1 - General
i had similar on a smoothieboard, turns out the sencor negative has to attach to the negative of the 'chipset' negative as well as the power, i.e. what ever powers your board needs to share with the inductive sencor, that and i'd entered the mecanical z end stop into the config in 2 places, once where it should be in the end stop section,(that bit stays) then i'd enered it in the probe sencor secby munchit1 - General
