Whoa that's cool stuff, thanks for the suggestion Bob! Is it the same thing as David-Laserscanner without mesh registration? Well I'll be finding out shortly, thanks again!by 3dcreationsllc - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Couldn't find a thread for the AO-100, this is the closest I could find. But I reviewed it today on my blog here... http://www.creations3d.com/2013/01/03/3d-printer-review-lulzbot-ao-100/ Looking forward to getting my hands on the Lulzbot TK-O and the Pi Maker http://www.3ders.org/articles/20121206-innovative-pimaker-has-a-build-area-larger-than-makerbot-replicator-2.htmlby 3dcreationsllc - General
How's it coming Dave? Will we see it this Sunday perhaps?by 3dcreationsllc - General New Machines Topics
What we did was kept the existing stepper motors and electronics that the RepRaps use and hooked it up to a worm gearbox to reduce the speed and increase holding torque. Seemed to work pretty well, except it'd be ideal to be able to control the DC motor through the RAMPS electronics stack, I just don't know how without a rotary encoder. Maybe a circular array of endstops? Do you have more documby 3dcreationsllc - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Here's our setup, we used David SLS software with a Del M110 DLP Projector and a Point Grey machine vision camera. The funny thing is that it's basically a MendelMax with the top chopped off and a few optics. We control the stepper motors with the RAMPS/Mega/Pololu stack (a bit overkill) and we position the object using the TrinityLabs monorail and GT2 pulleys and belts. We took an off-thby 3dcreationsllc - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Hey guys, we're working with Lulzbot toward a Kickstarter for open source 3D scanners (hardware + software). Can you help us by filling out this survey telling us what to price it at, what resolution is needed, etc.? Greatly appreciated! https://docs.google.com/a/3dcreationsllc.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dEZXV0dvTUYxUktLdkZIaTBqY1JaWFE6MQby 3dcreationsllc - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Here's one option for free/libre structured light scanning.. http://www.instructables.com/id/Structured-Light-3D-Scanning/ I love David-Laserscanner, just don't like the price and closed nature. Trying to plow through this paper right now...by 3dcreationsllc - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Every print is slightly wider on the bottom 2 or 3 layers than the rest, as in the picture. I assume that this may be some type of gravitational/compression affect from being on the bottom or more likely as a result of being directly above the heated bed. Either way, I'm not sure if I should adjust my hardware or my software. Please help, and go easy on me for my first post Thanks.by 3dcreationsllc - Printing
