Pretty much. I've been trying to find a good link to explain it, but it's proving harder than I thought. I did find this link which goes into "what is this NEMA size all about". It is interesting that the rule doesn't seem to hold for all the NEMA sizes. For instance, on their chart NEMA 24 is 2.3" square. Makerbot description for the NEMA-17 stepper they sell states: "NEMA-17 is a standard motor mounting geometry. The outside of the motor housing is 1.7"x1.7" So it seems to refer to motor geometry.by D2TNJ - Mechanics
Sorry if this is a simple question...but are there any lights on on your motherboard? I was using the USBtinyISP, and it has a jumper to supply 5V to the programming board. At first I did not have this connection bridged, so my motherboard was not getting power. The software would see the programmer, but not the motherboard. Once I closed this bridge with a jumper all was well. If that doesn't wby D2TNJ - Controllers
First let me caveat this by saying I have not built my extruder yet. I'm still working on assembling the basic electronics. But I did find these Lin Engineering steppers: 4218L-01-11 4218L-01D-02 Can anyone confirm/deny that these would work for an extruder? Edit: Sorry, misread the initial post about shipping to Europe.
