I'm guessing you didn't fully properly specify the path to pronterface.py You'll want a path that looks something like: /Users/stanleytanser/printrun/pronterface.pyby owad - General
Oh wait, I misread that. If you want to launch it with the Finder you'd do something like: nano launch Then paste in the following: #!/bin/sh arch -i386 python /path/to/pronterface.py Then make it executable: chmod ugo+x launchby owad - General
alias pronterface='/usr/bin/arch -i386 python pronterface.py' Stick that in a file called .bash_profile in your home directory.by owad - General
Some of us have run into issues running pronterface.py on Mac OS X Lion. I believe the problem occurs when python is in 64-bit mode and wxPython in 32-bit. I installed this version of wxPython: And run pronterface.py with this command: arch -i386 python pronterface.py And that seems to work! digifab confirmed that the same setup works for him. Post here if you have problems, and I'll try toby owad - General

Ebay and Google Products Search have it. Pretty pricey, though. Maybe the dope house would be cheaper.by owad - Polymer Working Group

Calcium chloride is a metallic salt. That's the salt commonly used to melt the ice on roads and sidewalks, so you can find it all over the place.by owad - Polymer Working Group
Here's an article from the New York Times that describes how it was made in 1903. Anybody know of convenient sources for metallic salt and formaldehyde?by owad - Polymer Working Group
I think the bom for the extruder board is missing the 10nf cap.by owad - General
That'd be great. My number is 717-332-6727. I'll be arriving around noon on Wednesday. I have everything working separately, but I haven't attempted to calibrate the movement yet, I don't know my table location yet, but my Maker ID is 777. Anybody is welcome to stop by on Friday, if they'd like to help get it set up!by owad - General
I'll be there too, with my half-working McWire Repstrap.by owad - General
The work area is a bit smaller than that. Those measurements are to the outside of the pipes, but my endstops are on the inside.by owad - Reprappers
I was playing around a bit today. This uses the same motor as the standard extruder, and I have it wired so it can be controlled by the Extruder Controller (no sensors, though). It works just fine empty, but I haven't tried it loaded. I don't know how to make cookie dough!by owad - Reprappers
The dimensions of the pipe frame are: Width: 30" Depth: 21" Height: 16" I initially had a longer pipe in for the height, but, I made a mistake in my Z axis design and had to shorten it. I'm probably going to change that later.by owad - Reprappers
Polymorph extrusion is working. I'm excited. I also mounted a small rotary tool on the Z axis.by owad - Reprappers

I was having this exact same problem last night. Make sure Extruder0_Capacitor(F) is 0.00000001 farads (it's 0.0000001 by default).by owad - RepRap Host
I have a surestep running at 70% torque with the 532-7023B-MTG heatsinks and it seems to be holding up pretty well (Z axis). The heatsink is very close to touching the diodes, though.by owad - Controllers
I have a very minor request: If the screw terminal (power) was just a mm or two farther away from the mounting hole, it'd be a lot easier to fit a screw in there (at least, the oversized screws that I happen to have on hand). As it is, I had to grind the screw head down.by owad - Controllers
The SureStep motors are rated at 2.8 A/phase. I'm curious to hear any opinions of the 532-7023B-MTG, as I'd like to order some shortly, and I'm not at all certain if it's appropriate. As for the solder tabs, they're in a little pile of dust beside my grinder.by owad - Controllers
How about the 532-7023B-MTG? Channel style w/folded back fins, TO-220, Multiwatt Vertical Black anodized Solder Tabs 4.4by owad - Controllers

I couldn't find this in the wiki and spent a lot of time digging around in data sheets, so I figured I'd post it here to save others some time.
